I can't seem to figure out (did testing) how to work with those Neuro Emitters - nothing seems to work !
Anyone who has an idea or used them before?!

Cheers

Neuro Emitters are one of several things genetics-wise that don't work at all due to a bug in the engine.

Depending on what it was you were hoping to do with them, you could possibly use a normal emitter set to fire based on the state of a brain lobe.

Hi RisenAngel
Thank you for the reply, not really sure what I would want to do with it - I was just trying to figure out if and how they would work (Neurone Emitters)

Most of the Emitter / Receptor
Organ is set to Creature
And the setup of both is the same -

Can a Chemical of sorts make a neurone fire
Or a firing neurone release a certain Chemical

Organ:
Tissue:
Locus:
Chemical:
Threshold:
Nominal:
Gain:
Inverted:
Digital:

There are some receptors that have the
Organ set to Creature
Tissue: is set to 5 which could correspond with the Drive lobe
Locus: 1 - Hunger for Protein
Threshold: 0
Nominal: 0
Gain: 209
Inverted:
Digital:
Would that not make sense to be set to
Organ: Brain instead of Creature ?

Thank you for all your Help
Cheers

the Creature Organ Drive Tissue is a shortcut to get the state of said drive neuron.

You could get the same results using brain, it wouldn't make a difference.

Using receptors you can hook of chemicals to directly control the state/input/output/susceptibility of a certain neuron (that's what the state 0-3 are for) if you need too.

Edit: Neuroemitters were supposed to release chemicals if the brain conditions were met, but the genes set up all wrong with what the engine thinks it does, and it doesn't work on top of that.

But it would basically work like how stimulus genes work: A signal is passed in (in a neuroemitters case, from brain cells) averaged together, and the 0.0-1.0 value gotten is multiplied by the chems and given out, per the sample rate (though in code it's biotick so it's functionally at the rate of an organ's clockrate, if it worked)

You know...wait...nevermind... wait...no...umm...maybe later...
