Does this belong in the development forum? Anyway, there's been some talk of redoing old metarooms and I decided to make a list of rooms I think need some work. Some metarooms are old and need cas. Other rooms are mapped in weird way.
Metarooms that have a problem with round floors:
* Aquatopia has a few issues with Creatures getting stuck on the sides.
* Aquatilis Pod might also have the same problem?
* Gardenia
* Oasis
Rooms that just need ca links between levels:
* Garbage Dump needs a CA link for the elevators.
Rooms that have mapping issues:
* Bubble Colony Room 1 has gaps that creatures can swim through, if I remember correctly.
* C1toDS has some well know mapping issues around the island and temple areas.
* Chione has an incredibly minor problem with food getting stuck in the left side of the the snow area, and Norns bashing their heads trying to get it.
* Pearl Ocean has an issue where swimming Creatures teleport from the bottom floor if they swim near the right wall.
* Random's Room has levels that are literally one room so Creatures can't navigate them at all, even with CA links.
* Veridia has weird C2-style lifts, has no CAs, and has walkways that need to be redone. The walkways need to have ends put in and they have incorrect permeabilities.
Rooms that need to be completed:
* Ainarda is slowly being finished by Ghosthande.
* Ettin Beach is missing CAs and elevators. Someone is working on a new version of it though.
* Terra: Reborn needs a favorites icon, and CA links connecting the elevators. I've also had some trouble with Norns bashing their heads on low ceilings. The elevators and buttons probably give the wrong stims.
Rooms with major/minor bugs:
* Sea Monkey Marina has a runtime error that appears randomly. Clohse is aware of it but I think she needs help finding the root of the problem.
* The Hub has a glitchy elevator. The mobile doors might also be glitchy? I don't know for sure.
* Terra has missing ca links and lag issues that may be similar the the unpatched bramoo. It also has elevators and doors that stop working after a while. The elevators and buttons give the wrong stims.
A few discussion points:
* If I'm wrong about a metaroom, or you think a metaroom needs to be on the list, feel free to say so. I haven't played with some of these metarooms in a while, and I might have forgotten some details.
* A semi-common problem, and one that keeps quite a few rooms from being as perfect, is the rounded-floor problem. Baby Norns get stuck on steep hills, and sometimes adults do to. Can anyone think of a way to fix that besides redoing the map?
* Then there's the fact that some metaroom authors probably don't want their metarooms to be edited. Do we redo the rooms from scratch to avoid that, or do we track them down and ask them? I'm asking mostly for myself. I'd like to edit the Morpheri room or just make a new one in it's place.

Veridia has C2-style lifts, but also has no CAs, and the walkways have incorrect permeabilities. Also, all the walkways are open-ended, causing norns pain and damage when they inevitably wander off the ends.
Ghosthande was working on finishing Ainarda.
Terra and Terra Reborn both look great, but I've never been able to get either of them to work properly.
If you know how to deconstruct a metaroom, I'd love to know.... |

I think Revelation or Jagent can open metarooms. What do you mean by the two Terra rooms not working? They've worked for me in the past, but I think Terra starts lagging after a while. I'll have to reinstall them and see though.

Doesn't Terra have the same issue that unpatched bramboo does? Where one of the agents disappears but isn't actually gone? |

Does it? I wouldn't be surprised. One of the comments on Terra says that the elevators and doors stop working after a while and I do vaguely remember an elevator being auto killed the last time I used it.
Do you know what could be wrong with Terra Reborn, besides the missing favorite icon?

The elevators in the Terra rooms also give creatures bad stims when they're used (to be more specific, they stim creatures with "disappointment" as opposed to the more proper "traveled in lift." The buttons also stim creatures with "disappointment," in addition to "go up" or "go down" and "activate button" .

Perhaps you'd like to investigate Charan (download, information) and see if it can be turned into a creature-friendly room? It's a free background to a good home, without permission issues.

I poked around Charan a little bit and it doesn't have anything hugely wrong with it, I don't think? Well besides some sides that need to be remapped and probably some missing CAs. It also has a toy that is floating for some reason. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I can try to make it a metaroom. I've been wanting to make a metaroom for a while now anyway and the only things stopping me were coding skills, a metaroom background, and laziness.

The most important thing to redo in Veridia IMO (I use it a lot, it's a nice metaroom) is to prevent norns from falling and getting hurt. I don't know much about CA so I have no idea what's wrong with the elevator, but that's my main issue during WR. :-/

Hebi, you can use Amai magic words room edits to block the ends of the walkways - that's what I usually do. You can also change the permeability so that things don't drop through so easily. I put some instructions on how to do that on my blog.
KittyTikara, I sometimes have problems getting the Terra rooms to install at all (I have a feeling they can't both be installed in the same world in any case), but even when they install, things don't work correctly, I get odd error messages, and agents get autokilled. |

I'm pretty certain the door-autokill issue is cased by a creature or object blocking the door, but I haven't used the metaroom in years sooooo..... |

I've only started using different metarooms fairly recently, I tend to be a little shy about most mods in games... but one thing I noticed with Veridia is my norns and other creatures seem to get endlessly stuck in the elevators, and I frequently have to take them out.
