Hi everyone, what's up? Due to my Role-Play, and some ideas I had about it, I decided to make a story (a fan-fiction if you want to call it that ;) ) to explain what I firstly had in mind, and to connect everything that might had escaped you, if you had watched the development of my RP. :P But you can also see it as a normal story, since I would do everything as possible to keep things not-boring for you!

My initial plan was to post it on fanfic.net and put the link here, but after talking to kezune, she said I could post it here, and I am doing it, so that anyone who doesn't know how fanfic.net works can see, but also because I want to share with this community, same community that means a lot to me. I think I'll be posting it here like 1~2 days before I do on fanfic.net, so you people can always be ahead :D
Enough talking, let's get to the story!

Note (it'll be quick :)): this is my first fic ever. I had some ideas on the past, but never wrote then down. So sorry if at the beginning it is a little bad, but I'll try to make it interesting as much as I can! Also sorry for grammar! (kezune helped me on that part :))

Note 2: Ahuge thanks goes to Kezune (who was the first person I interacted with my creatchi Jack :)), Norndara (who had done RP with us and for her ideas) and TigerCivet (for being so brilliant with her ideas :) ). Also a thanks to DarbyDoo, she has given me support for the story. And of course a huge thanks to Rascii, for the awesome site (sorry if I am missing someone).

Note 3: The characters are going to be the creatchis I've controlled and the spouse and/or daughter/son or related... (except for one generation which I didn't control).

Note 4: ENOUGH OF NOTES!!! (:P)

Chapter 1
“A new beginning”

The egg started to crack, a light creature noise coming from inside. The rumble lasted for a minute, and then the grey shell finally gave away.
A blue ettinchi found his way under the remnants of the egg. He stood up, contemplating the bright world around him. It looked wonderful; green grass covering most of the ground, big trees around him, with bushes scattered all over the place. He heard a splashing noise; he looked around and noticed a pond some meters from him. He approached it, and when he took a good look at it, he saw small yellow handle fish swimming around.
He then decided to go around exploring, to see the rest of the forest, absorbing the amazing surroundings. A couple of meters later, he heard movement between the trees. He followed the sound of the movement, to find himself in an opening. At first it seemed empty, aside from the flora, but then he noticed a small ettinchi beside a bush. He approached it, and then it turned around.
He then observed that it was a female baby ettinchi, with a beautiful fur, in an orange-yellow shade. He struggled to speak.
“H-hello”
“Hi” she answered. He tried to say anything else, but he was too tense. She noticed it and she smiled.
“What is your name?” He opened his mouth to answer, but then he remembered he didn't know his name- at least, he didn’t know he had one.
“I-I don’t know” He wore a sad face “at least I don’t know if I have one”
“It is okay.” she said “I also didn’t know my name when I first came into the world. But a note was left beside my egg, in which my name was, and explaining why I was alone” he made a slight frown, but then he saw her face light up “By the way, my name is Amber('Amber! It suits the colour of her fur' he thought). And with you… hmm let’s see. What is the first name that comes into your mind?”
He thought for some seconds. He then found it. “Jack” he smiled “I like the name ‘Jack’”
Amber gave a big smile “Hello Jack”
He played along.

“Hello Amber”

~15 days later~

The little wooden and stone house blended nicely with the surroundings, in the middle of the trees. The sun wasn’t up yet, but morning was imminent, so the two ettinchis were still asleep. They had made the house in the same clearing in which they had met. They were already young adults, since all creatchis live only around 24 days. They have been living as best friends during the whole time since they first met, for they got along very well; they occasionally went for a walk around, in search for food, or similar, or simply just to see the environment around them.
The sun finally rose, and light from it found its way between the branches and through the windows of their bedroom, where they shared a bed. As the light hit them, they lazily got up, and each one went through their morning daily routine. While Amber was making the bed, Jack went outside do get apples on a nearby tree. He caught a few, and then he got back inside, went to the kitchen and dropped four of them in the quirky cookie machine. Two apple flavoured cookies soon appeared on the plate of the machine. He then walked to their farm, grabbed some bramboo berries, and got back home to make some delicious bramboo juice.
“Amber, breakfast” he called, a few minutes later.
“Coming down!” she said back. He was met with a rather sleepy smile.
“Slept well?” She asked.
“Wonderfully, although a few more hours wouldn’t hurt” he finished with a laugh, which made her laugh too. “So what do you want to do today?”
“Well…” she seemed to be thinking “recently I have been reflecting on something.” Jack waited for her to continue. “Maybe we could go to your original birth place, to see if we can find more about you” she finished hesitantly, scared that he wouldn’t like it.
He pondered about it for some minutes. She was about to say no when he finally get his voice back. “I think we could… I actually have thought about it, although I didn’t want to venture too long in the deep forest at night, ‘cause we could be ambushed by an uglee or something.”
“As long as we keep an eye and hear to everything around us, and if we find a safe place to sleep, we should be good to explore.”
He smiled at her answer; she always knew how to think things through. “Alright then. Do you want to go today?”
“Yes!”
“Alright then, we go after lunch. I hope we can find something about my past… and those dreams I’m having are making things even worse… I cannot stop thinking on those black ettinchis…”
After breakfast, they went to the farm to tend the bramboo, explodonuts and mushroom plantations. After, they picked up a few of each, and brought them home. Jack heard a grunting noise coming from outside, a very familiar grunting noise, and suspecting of what it might be, he headed outside. As expected he found a grazer pacing around. With a grin on his face, he moved to get him.
A few minutes later, Amber saw Jack entering the house with a grazer on his shoulder, and smiled. “Awesome, that will make a nice lunch!”
They ate the roasted grazer with the cooked mushrooms, which tasted like heaven to them (it was not every day that they had a meal like that). Afterwards, they packed some apples and pumperspikels into a backpack, and made their way to the road. The place itself was quite near, but they decided to go investigating around in case they didn’t see anything on the destination place.
When they got there, nothing attracted their attention, but they carefully watched every inch of it. The clearing was lighted by the sun, but still it was hard to spot anything. After a few minutes of search however, Amber saw some faint footprints, but she immediately thought it was from an animal, but Jack inspected them better, and noticed that the shape of the foot didn’t match any creature except one: an ettinchi. They followed them, having to stop at some points in order to find where they were heading. Suddenly however, when they were passing through an open field, the footprints disappeared. They sighed, and then looked around. It was an ample place, with tufts of grass here and there. They decided to do a rest stop there and eat something to regain energies. They both sat down, Amber turned away from Jack in order to take the food out of the back pack, when suddenly she heard a shrieking noise, followed by a scream from Jack. She turned around quickly, but she didn’t see him.
“Jack? Jack!?” she screamed “Jack, where are you!?”
“A-a-a-mbe-er!” she heard Jack screaming her name. She looked around not seeing him, until she looked up and then she saw him being taken away by a goshawk.
“Jack? Jack! I’m coming for you” she screamed, starting to run.

Okay, seems like my plans are changing. My original idea was to make like a chapter or two of one generation, but I'm really linking where this is heading, chapter two looks promising (working on it right now), but there are some aspects that I may not include in it yet, so I may be increasing the limit of chapter per generation up to four (or more if I can make a good story :) )

Chapter 2
“Feelings and Truth”

“Jack!” Amber yelled again. ‘Darn, when is that goshawk going to land? Doesn’t it need to rest?’ she thought, while continuing to run after them. Luckily, the field was huge, and the goshawk never turned.
Jack, meanwhile, was up in the sky, the goshawk grabbing him by the arms and leaving him turned to Amber, who he saw as a yellowish blur passing through the grass tufts. He didn’t saw the goshawk picking him; while Amber was taking the things from the backpack, he was looking at her, thinking. Thinking of how much she helped him, and how he helped her. They have lived as best friends, however, sometimes Jack felt more inside him than just friendship when looking at her… but he didn’t want to tell her, because he didn’t know how she’d react and probably that would destroy their relationship. That was what he was thinking right now. He felt such a strong feeling, seeing her running after him. He heard faintly her screams, due to the altitude.
Little did he know that Amber felt the same way about him; she always felt safe around him. He always did everything to protect her, and in those times, she felt closer to him than ever. When she heard Jack’s scream, turned around and didn’t see him, she felt her heart stop; if she loses him, she’ll lose everything…
Luckily, the animal seemed to be slowing down, and getting lower and lower. It started to turn slightly to the side, to a far way tree, which bared no leaves. Jack, noticing the bird’s sudden change in movement and speed, looked behind him in order to see were the goshawk was heading. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw the tree, however he became worried when he thought of what the bird might do to him when it stopped.
With pure luck though, the bird released one of Jack’s arm to land on the tree, holding him tightly with the other, rising it so Jack was out of range of any branch.
Amber reached them, gasping for air, and her eyes met Jack’s, which had a desperate look in the face. She looked around to anything that could help him get down. The goshawk was resting, with its eyes closed, but one could see he was not fully asleep, to prevent its victim from escaping. They knew that they didn’t had much time until it decided to fly again. Amber paced around, trying to figure out what to do, when she finally had an idea. She ran around, ripping off the ground as many bushes as she could, and placed them in the spot directly beneath Jack. She then snapped a rather long branch which was already bent over, and started to climb the tree with it. Jack observed the whole process quietly. When she reached his height, she looked straight into his eyes, motioning with her lips ‘trust me’ to him. He nodded, and then Amber, inhaling, pushed the branch as hard as she could in the direction of the bird’s foot; it immediately opened the other one, releasing Jack who dropped down, and flew away with a sharp scream of pain. Jack landed with a thump on the heap of bushes. Amber, who was still at the top of the tree, watched as he dropped and then not moving. Her heart jumped, thinking of the worse. ‘Oh no, no, no, no, no. Please, tell me he is okay, please’ she thought as she was climbing down ‘Oh that was a stupid plan, why did I had to do it like this. Please, I can’t lose him…’ She finally felt the ground beneath her feet, and she ran to Jack’s body, which was still immobile.
“Jack? Jack?” she yelled, shaking him. She bent down, approaching her face to his, and felt the air faintly coming in and out. “J-Jack?” She watched as he slowly opened his eyes.
“Am… Amber?” he gradually got up, getting into sitting position, rubbing his head. “What happened? The bird… wait, the bird!?” he motioned to get up, but Amber stopped him.
“Relax Jack” she said with her familiar smile appearing on her face. “I think I’ve scared it for good; it won’t be catching creatures like us any time soon. By its scream, I think I’ve hurt the claw badly. Thank god I’ve avoided a disaster…” she didn’t finish the sentence, her smile disappearing, and a face of sadness replaced it.
“Amber? Amber, what’s wrong? What is it?” she just looked at him, her eyes undoubtedly about to give away. “Amber…” he trailed of, she now clearly crying, with both her hands on her mouth. He didn’t waste any time; he leaned forward and hugged her. She shrugged at his touch, and with a sad face he lowered his arms, but she suddenly wrapped her arms around him and hold him even closer. Jack gently embraced her again. She then cried and cried.
After some minutes, she seemed to be calming down. Jack was still holding her, just in case she fell down to tears again. She sobbed for a few seconds, before giving Jack a sign that she wanted to talk.
“I-I-I am so-sorry Jack. I just… I was pretty shaken up by you imminent absence… And” she looked down “more when I saw you didn’t move when you fell down. I could stand losing you, and it would be even worse if it was my fault…”
Jack placed a hand on her chin, making her look at him. “Amber everything is alright now. If it weren’t for you, I would still be on its grip, or worse. It is all thanks to you, and your smartness” she smiled lightly at his statement “I’m glad to have you by my side” he finished, giving her a kiss on the forehead. She then felt the need to say it. It had to be now. He had to know.
“Jack…” she started. He thought she was going to cry again, but after quickly scanning her face, he knew she was more serious than ever. ”I-I have to say this. I think I can’t hold it any longer.” She took a deep breath. “Jack… I-I lo-“she was interrupted by a sudden loud thud, followed by a whirring sound. They looked around, but they didn’t see anything. The sound was slowly fading, and then three seconds later if ended with a double pitched tone.
“What was that?” Amber was the first to talk.
“I don’t know but… it was a very weird sound, and it didn’t came from far away… But wait, what did you wanted to say?”
” It’s… It’s okay, it can wait” she didn’t had the strength to say it again, for now “We have to investigate that sound. And that’s final” she finished when she saw he was about to talk. He nodded, and then they got up, inspecting the surroundings. The whole plain was empty, except for the tree next to them, and an agglomerate of trees a few dozen meters away from them. Since it was the closest place to them (the edge of the forest could be seen even further), they changed a look, and nodded in agreement. They walked towards the trees.
When they got closer, they could see that the tree logs were fairly thick, making their passage through them rather hard. When they reached the centre, a more ample place, they were disappointed once again. It was empty. Jack looked around looking for more clues, while Amber sat in the middle, with a frustrated face. Jack glanced at her, but he noticed something unusual and he turned back to her.
“What is it Jack?” Amber questioned, looking at his confused face.
“Look around you” he simply said.
“What?”
“Look around you” this time, he made a smile. She looked around and started to get up
“What do you mean look around…” she then saw it. A very odd marking on the ground.
By the looks of it, something that had a square base and that was a bit large had been sitting on the grass, which was squashed, which made them assume that it was heavy too. It was a perfect square so they assumed that it couldn’t be a natural thing. They also noticed a piece of paper that was on the ground, smashed in a ball. Jack picked it up, and unfolded it. The writing seemed to be composed of circles and lines, but as far as they knew, they didn’t understand it. However, Amber noticed another writing on the back of the paper. It was two simple words, but they were so small that it was really hard to spot them. After a closer inspection, Jack read them out loud.
“Time lord?”

This story has been very engaging so far. Good work! Why ettins, though? I prefer norns or grendels as heros of my stories.

What is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything?

Hello everyone!

First of all, sorry for not updating this in ages, I had school going on, studying, my final year before university, exams, choosing a course and where to go, but now I have free time! (at least, for this month)

Secondly, I had this story almost finished by the time of my last post, however I wanted to enrich it.

Luckily (and thirdly), whilst working one day, I came across an idea, which seemed to me great, and that would explain everything that happened on these first chapters better!

Now, this chapter. I ask one thing; if you had read this before, but can't remember very well the first chapter, please (but only if you can) read the first part of it - the part where they met - because things in this one will connect with that one.

But now, on to the story!

Chapter 3
Where am I?

“What - What is a time lord?” Amber asked after a couple of seconds.
“I… I don’t know…” He frowned “Time lord? Never heard that expression before. Must be a magical thing or something. Time lord…”
“Must also be something to do with time… I think. Why else would they be called like that?”
Jack shrugged. He was about to say something else when he noticed their surroundings. “Amber, I think it is night time already.”
“What? How did it got dark so quickly?”
“Well, it was a pretty intense day, I think we lost track of time”
“You’re right… maybe we could get some rest….”
They decided to sleep there in the ground, since they were so far away from home, and also because they were so tired. They laid on the floor, which surprisingly wasn’t neither cold or uncomfortable. Jake embraced her, once again trying to keep her safe. They said nothing to each other; a minute later, and they were both in the land of dreams…

~~@~~

Jack opened his eyes. It was day already, and he was standing in the cleaning. However, after looking around, he noticed it wasn’t the same he felt asleep in, although it was very familiar, but he didn’t knew why. He then noticed an egg, sitting in the middle. It was a silver one, with a very smooth surface. He kept looking around, trying to find how on where he was, and how he got there. He recognized some of the trees present, and then it hit him; that glade was so familiar to him, because that was the one where he first met Amber, and where they currently had their house. But the house wasn’t present.
“Then how…” he slowly turned his eyes to the egg. “That means…” he began to put everything together “that egg is Amber”. He was dumbstruck by his realization.
He stood there for a few minutes, his mouth open with all the recent thoughts, when a loud thud echoed through the forest, a thud he recognized, followed by the whirring sound. He also noticed that a light was flickering smoothly - something he hadn’t noticed on the other occasion of the sound - and disappeared finally with the double pitched tone. He didn’t see anything, and looked down when he heard movement - the egg was shaking.
He looked around, and found a bush to hide, but at the same time he noticed that there wasn’t nothing next to the egg with the soon to be born baby telling her that she was named Amber. Abandoning every though that said otherwise, and know that it was pretty crazy, he picked up a large leaf, and using a piece of charcoal(he liked to write sometimes) wrote ‘Amber’ on it, and placed the leaf next to the egg, that had now a visible crack. He ran to the bush, and hid in there, as he watched the egg shaking and cracking more. It then suddenly stopped, and a very tiny, orange-yellow, hand broke a piece of the shell, and was soon follow by the other, both trying to remove all the egg around. When the entire shell was broken, a baby female ettinchi stood up.
‘Oh my god…’ Jack though, looking at Amber.
She noticed the leaf near her, and picked it up. He heard her saying in a soft voice “Amber”, and giggled, which made her look at his direction, and then baby Amber began to walk slowly to him. He stood there, in shock, as he saw her closer and closer. He didn’t know what could happen if she saw him.
She was only one meter away from him, and all she had to do was to move a branch to see him. She got closer, and raised her small arm, and then…

Jack woke up with his eyes wide open and breathing heavily. He was now lying down, and after taking a look around, he saw that he was again next to adult Amber, who was still sleeping.
He though of the entire thing for minutes. How did that happen? It was a very weird dream… ‘Wait, no, it can’t be a dream. Her name…’ he then remembered something. He reached for Amber’s backpack, and opened the smaller pocket. With a shaking hand, he took out the leaf where her name was written. It was visibly older, but the letters didn’t lie. That ‘Amber’ was written by him, only a couple of minutes before. ‘No, this is…’ Complicated? Weird? Inexplicable? He couldn’t find the right expression. ‘So, I named her after I knew what her name was?’ Maybe he was getting crazy. But he then remembered something… ‘So, that explains why she was on the bush when I met her, which means…’ He almost met himself.
That was too much for him. He decided to rest and think about it when he woke up. Only he didn’t know if he should tell her what he has seen.
‘Maybe it is better not to worry her’
He gave her a kiss on the forehead, before going back to sleep, embracing her more tenderly.

Chapter 4
Me Too

The next mourning, Amber woke up at the sound of birds chirping. She opened her eyes and smiled, that sound always cheered her up. When she tried to get up, she felt something grabbing her hand; it was Jack’s that was holding hers (she forgot how they had fell asleep last night). She looked at his face, while he was breathing smoothly. She tilted her head and frowned.
‘Hmm, he looks a lot more tired than last night. I wonder if he is okay’
Amber decided to leave him there, and gently took his hand off hers, and she reached for her backpack to take out some pumperspikels for them to eat when she noticed that the smaller pocket was open. She looked up, and saw that the leaf with her name was in his other hand. She frowned again, but not because she was angry. ‘Why did he needed the leaf?’ She then though of something ‘Did he discover anything about me last night?’ She gave him a hard look, before thinking again ‘Although… I don’t know what does this entire thing have to do with me… Oh well, better wake him up so he can eat something’
After thinking a little more for a few minutes, she finally shook him, and he slowly opened his eyes.
“Amber?”
“Good morning sleepy head” she replied back with a smile.
“Did I slept too much?”
“Not really” she looked around “the sun is low, so it’s still morning.”
He got up with a smile. “Good. Let’s eat something?”
“Sure. One thing though…” she said nervously.
“What is it?”

“Why do you have the leaf with my name on your hand?”

Jack stood there, silent, not saying anything for some minutes.
“Jack?” Amber finally said, alarmed “Jack? Is everything okay?”
He snapped out of it. “Yes, sorry. It’s just… it’s complicated”
“How so?”
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you” Jack said sincerely.
“Jack, you know I always believe in everything you say” she said with a tender smile.
He look straight into her eyes, and took a deep breath. “Okay here it goes”

~~@~~

Amber looked at him, dumbstruck. “What? How was that possible?”
“I don’t know, but it’s true. Look, it was written from this same piece of charcoal… even the writing is the same as mine!”
Amber didn’t know what to think. “But… how didn’t I noticed before?”
Jack pondered for a bit. “Maybe you did. But you were more focused on the fact that the leaf was the proof that you belonged to someone very close, and the thought of you knowing my writing just went to your subconscious. It’s complicated, I know, but I’m trying to understand myself, without getting my head to explode.”
“I know. Well, at least you got one thing right”
“What?” he asked curiously, thinking of what may have missed him.
“It was indeed written by someone very close to me…” she trailed off, a tear coming down her face.
He instantly hugged her. “Amber…”
She sniffed. “I’m sorry, it’s just… I-I…”. She stayed there, her head on his shoulder, silent tears coming down her face. Jack started to caress her cheek, trying to calm her down, and trying to understand what was going on. He then remembered something; what she was going to tell him the night before, before they heard the noise…
However, before he could do or say anything else, he heard her giving a hard sniff.
She couldn’t take it anymore. She had to say it.
She parted away from Jack, and looked straight into his eyes.

“Jack… I love you”

“Jack?”
He was standing there for nearly a minute, looking at her. Amber motioned to go near him when he finally made a smile.
“I love you too Amber” he said softly, putting a smile in Amber’s face. They both got closer, nervously, and then Jack, cupping the ettinchi’s head with his hands, slowly brought their faces together, until their foreheads touched, the eyes locked on each other. “I love you with all my life Amber” he spoke, again in a soft tone. He shifted one of his hands to her chin, until their mouths touched.

Amber instantly felt a wonderful sensation on her stomach, like butterflies flying around it. It was such a good feeling, she didn’t want it to end…

Minutes passed. They were sitting down on the floor, hugging and looking at each other, none of them wanting to break that silence, to stop that moment...

Jack reached out and kissed Amber on the forehead. “We better eat something. We didn’t ate since… we left home!! Come on, let’s eat some pumperspikels, I want to see you strong”
She smiled, and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. “Okay. We leave after eating, okay?”
“Alright, good for me” he replied with a smile.

They ate peacefully, exchanging fond looks, only interrupted by a screeching sound that made Jack jump, but it was only a bird scrapping a branch with its beak. With Amber laughing, they finished up eating, and packed up everything and left.

The journey back home was calm - Jack always looking back until they got to the edge of the forest - and they managed their way through the trees and reached their house before the sun reaching the top-most position. As they stopped in front of their home, holding hands, looking at it, and then at each other, they exchanged a kiss.

They were both so happy walking inside, none of them heard the light ‘pop’ coming from Amber.

Chapter 5
1+1=3

The next morning, Amber was the first to wake up. She stretched, and then she looked at Jack, who was still snoring lightly. 'I hope that face means that he didn't have any nightmares' she thought with a smile. She leaned down and kissed him on the forehead, trying not to waking him. She got up, got ready, and went down to the kitchen, to eat something. She grabbed a slice of Peaking Pie, and went to the table to seat down. However, as she positioned herself in the tabled, she noticed that something was different. 'Why am I so tight in this chair?' She looked down, and noticed that her belly was slightly bigger than yesterday. 'Hmm, did I grown so fat in such short time?' She decided to forget about it, and accommodated herself better in the chair and started to eat.

~~

By the time Jack woke up, the sun was already at the top of the house (midday). He got up, and went down to find her love. When he didn't saw her, he yelled "Amber", at what she responded "In the garden!", and Jack thought to himself while grinning 'I knew you were missing it'. He kissed her, and passed his hand trough her hair, and stopped it in her cheek.
"Slept well?"
"Yeah, what about you?" she answered back.
"Too, no bad dreams this night, which was wonderful"
"I know, I noticed when I got up" she finished with a smile.

"I see you're back to your flowers” he said, beaming.
“Yeah, I missed them”
“Alright, I’m leaving you to them, I’m going to take a walk around” he needed to think alone.
“Sure, but don’t take too long!” she said smiling, getting up to kiss him.
“Don’t worry - maybe I can find another grazer!”

‘Hmm, doesn’t her belly look a bit bigger than yesterday? Oh, never mind, must be from tiredness’

~~

Jack had been walking for over half an hour know, still thinking how everything that they discovered fitted together. And then that strange noise…

‘This whole thing is so complicated…’ He them remembered the black ettinchis he saw in his dreams. They where just mere apparitions, they didn’t move or anything, they just stood there. ‘Was I with them while I was having those dreams? Hmm… No, I can’t, they didn’t even move or anything. Maybe the whole thing was… an illusion? Perhaps…’ He couldn’t even see what was behind them, it all seemed to be a wall of smoke…

Then the two words. ‘Time lord…’ What on the name of Shee was that? He had never heard suck expression. ‘Or title… maybe there were ettinchis by that name’ The image of the black ettinchis immediately came back to his mind. ‘Hmm, maybe they were time lords…’ He had no way to know…

Feeling hungry, he went to an apple tree and removed one fruit, and bit it. He looked at it while chewing. ‘Imagine I could go back in time to watch this little thing grow. That would be-’ He stopped chewing. ‘Wait… when I saw Amber - well, baby Amber - that couldn’t have been the present, so I had to be in the past, no doubt. So… does that make me… a time lord?’

He pondered on it for a few minutes, and then shrugged. ‘Nah, I’m just confusing things’

While walking back home, he recalled everything that happened yesterday, specially after he and Amber got together. Their first kiss, the sight of their house once they got back, the light ‘pop’ while they were walking inside…

He shook his head abruptly. How did he forgot that?

But, where did it came from? All he remembered that happened before was he and Amber kissing while -

His face went pale

- while they were holding hands

He dropped the apple, rushing back home.

Amber waked back home with two strickletrouts inside a bucket in one hand, and a makeshift fishing rod in the other. She placed it on a chair, and dropped the fish onto the counter, and she approached them to start cutting them, when again she was stopped by her belly, which now seemed bigger.

‘Okay this is weird…”

Moments later, she heard running just outside the house, and next thing she knew, Jack was storming inside the house. He stopped right in front of her, breathing heavily.

“Jack? What is it? Did you got attacked?”
“No… we… “ he was gasping for air “holding… kiss…”
“Come here, sit down!” she forced him onto an empty chair, and when he attempted to open his mouth, she said immediately “No, don’t say anything, take a deep breath”

It took more that just one breath to make Jack normal again. When he was able to speak, Amber observed that he had a mix of worried and happy expression. “Okay, you can speak now. What is it? Is it the goshawk?”

He swallowed. “No, I…” he stopped for a few seconds, Amber inspecting him with a raised eye brow “Didn’t you… didn’t you noticed anything strange with your belly this mourning?”

She wasn’t expecting that. “Yes, I did… I assumed it was because we didn’t ate too much and my stomach was saving some energy” however not even she believed in that, although still not knowing what was going on with her.

“Amber, remember what happened yesterday”
“I know quite well what happened yesterday” she said with a smile.
“Yes, I mean, it’s not quite that” she raised her brow again “When we got back, when we saw our house again, what did we do?”
“We kissed” she said, still trying to follow his line of thinking.
“While…?” he continued
“While… I don’t know…” she said honestly

He inhaled deeply again, his faced again too both happy and worried.

“Amber we kissed… while holding hands”

Her eyes shot open. “You mean…”

“Yes” he was still waiting for her face to manifest her feelings “Amber… you’re pregnant. We are going to have a baby”

Her eyes were locked with Jack’s, her mouth slight open. Jack was started to feel the worst but then…

“We’re… we’re going to have a baby?” she said slowly, diverting her eyes off him, the corners of her mouth turning into a smile.
He grinned. “Yes, we are” She looked again at him, her smile bigger.
“That’s wonderful news!” she grabbed him and gave him a kiss “ I am so happy!”

"Me too!"he replied, kissing her back "What do you think think it is going to be? boy or girl?"
