This year is almost over and 2014 is coming, so it might be a good idea to think about the new year.
It might be a big year for Creatures, as Creatures Online could be released that year. What I'm personally looking out for is the new tech stuff, like Google Glass and smartwatches. Many people expect that they'll be immensely popular. 2014 will also be a big sports year, as FIFA and the Olympics will be held. The Internet will play an even more important role than it currently having, an obvious development which took off a long time ago.
I don't have many plans for 2014 but I've got a lot of things to do, because I'll have to pay for taxes and healthcare for the first time. Things I honestly don't know much about. Luckily I've got family who are willing to help me with that stuff. I don't have any clear New Year's resolutions either.
What are your expectations and plans for 2014?

I've got a goat who is having kids soon. I'll be making lots of stuff with goat's milk next year. My chickens should start laying eggs sometime soon. Starting a vegetable garden next year. I also plan to write more. I'm going to finish projects next year, definitely. |

I'm planning a pumpkin patch and a small vegetable garden this coming spring. I've saved the seeds from the pumpkins that I turned into pies for Thanksgiving so I know that I'll probably like the squash that I'll be growing this year.
I'm also planning on doing more ambitious things with my crafts, knitting, crochet and yarn spinning and dyeing. I don't have any ambitious projects planned, but I do have a sweater in progress and I've never made a people-sweater before.
Health and Weight loss? Yup. I'm starting a workout regiment on the first. I found a safe running path and I think I'm fully recovered so Strength Training is finally an option for me again. I don't have any specific weight or size goals or -whatever-, I have a general "be healthier" goal and I've already geared my diet to include lots more fruits, grains and vegetables and very little processed sugar. (Don't get me started on HFC.)
As for my family, if I can ever get my husband to help me, I want to slowly introduce my dogs to each other again. It was lovely when they were best buddies. I wasn't expecting a girl to be quite so devastating to my happy household. I forsee myself becoming a boyfriend/girlfriend hating mom someday. >_>
As for my other hobbies, I want to get into programming again. Some less than encouraging remarks have kept me from wanting to pick up C# again but I dunno. I guess I'll have to get into it, no matter what anybody says.
Lastly, this isn't a goal as it's not entirely in my control, but I want to get a job. I've been throwing resumes everywhere and so far, the only place they've stuck is Home Depot. Wish me luck.
EDIT: I'm going to add one more goal. I want to learn to needle felt this coming year, too. Learn all the things!

First up on my thoughts are definitely to actually release a metaroom like my old one which I finally found again on an old harddrive, or, join a small team and help do the sprites/background for a metaroom. On the larger scale of things I'd really love accomplished for 2014.
On the smaller scale - At least sprite some agents.
Outside of the CC - Lots of stuff. Learn more and accomplish more with programming, especially Python. Actually get something noteworthy done there. Fix my greenhouse entirely so that it is fully functional the next winter. Umm, continue to lose weight (because yay! Lost a ton this past year and continue to plan to do so) and continue to eat healthy (kind of comes with the job) And let's see. . . There's other stuff too of course but that's a starter. (get better at archery, do more art projects and FINISH more of them, get my business around that going faster and better, finish my writing, get an "official" boyfriend lol)
ETA - Oooo hey I have chickens and goats and do dairy too I've got lambs expected though, not kids.
-Karias; a bit fruity and gone bananas in the wrong climate! |

What does ETA mean? I feel like I should know but I'm drawing a blank right now.
Also 2014 starts on a new moon. Which seems like a good sign, starting off the new year with a new moon. Might be a good time to start some new things. I'm planing a few big writing/art projects for next year. |

ETA means Edited To Add.
I don't really have much planned for the new year. I might start writing my novels. I don't know yet.

In terms of Creatures stuff, I plan to keep up a steady updating schedule for my new blog. I'm also hoping to try my hand at a COB or an agent sometime, though coding isn't my cup of tea. Wish me luck!
In non-Creatures-related activities, I've been working on my novel bit-by-bit and I want to whip myself in gear and get it finished by the time June rolls around so that I can edit it and maybe send it to some publishers. I'm pretty nervous about that and the whole system because rejection is probably my worst fear... still... we miss all the shots we don't make, yes?

Regarding my Creatures stuff, I hopefully will release Creatures Village Reorchestrated in its entirety. I originally planned to release a second volume of it shortly after the first, but scrapped that idea.
I do hope Creatures Online will finally be released this year. I highly expect it will, but we've seen in 2012 and 2013 that Fishing Cactus have problems keeping up with their deadlines.
In regards to non-Creatures stuff, I'll probably have a whole load of college work to do next year, but I should get my second student loan this week, which my mum and dad need to be able to buy herself a new fridge and to redecorate me and my brothers' room.
Regarding the Olympics, I'm honestly not a big fan, although personally I think they should have chosen a country to host it that doesn't violate human rights. ![[nangry] [nangry]](/images/smilies/emot_angry.gif) |

My goal is to find a new job ASAP. Well, after I come back from my holiday in Tenerife. That's about it really! The dream is to get into the funeral trade somehow and train as a funeral director. However, until then I'm willing to take anything on. I haven't had a paid job for so long. I'm just really hoping that 2014 will be my year for achieving things and making something of my life.
What's everyone got planned for New Years Eve? I'm spending it round my boyfriend's house with his family and friends; we're just going to have some drinks, games and some chatter. It makes a welcome change from seeing in the new year on my own with the XBox 360 last year! |

I wish you guys good luck with your resolutions, goals and wishes!
We're going to our aunt, with other family from my mother's side. It's all a surprise, so I don't know what we'll be doing. One thing is sure: We'll have lots of snacks, as we'll also celebrate a birthday.

I forgot to mention, today is my great aunt's funeral. Unfortunately I couldn't go, because there wasn't enough room in the car my mum and dad are taking to get there. |
