Hey guys! I've had some pretty weird dreams recently, and I wanted to post this so we can all talk about it together. This forum is also to talk about other people's or your dreams if their just so odd, scary, or awesome that you just have to tell us about them. ;D

first off, I always have this recurring dream of what I call bed-cars. beds with a steering wheel and gear joystick thingy sticking out of the covers, pedals on the matress, and glass connecting the head board to the back board. They also have wheels where the feet of the bed should be, and a radio above the pillows. Usually the dream I have after bed-cars is where I am at starbucks getting a glass of mint milk when I just pass out on the floor. That's 2 of my most common dreams, what are yours?

I have quiet a few dreams I have written down on my computer, but here is one of the best ones, sorry its a bit long! >.< I'm gonna call it...
THE PATH TEST
The other night I had a dream where I had to pass a test to see who was the toughest or something... (There was a lot more before this but I don't remember exactly, something about a sleepover and maybe some dragons/cats though.) In the test all you had to do was keep walking at first, then it got bad, the further you went the worse it got, there had to be thousands of people in it! After a while of walking swords started poking at the sides, then swiping! We had to dodge them or not die from the wounds.
After that came arrows! There where HEAPS of arrows coming down from the sky! It was like watching a movie almost at this point, my view would go on different angles and I would see heaps of people getting hit by the rain of arrows, I jumped out of the arrows way doing somersaults in the air and all that to dodge them, I don't know how many hit me, maybe just 1, maybe 2 or none... Only 3 or 4 (Including me) people put of those 1000s survived that walk! The road before us was empty, for some reason they wanted to stay put... But I knew the leaders of this thing would be here pretty soon, so I made a quick dash over a fence on the side of the path.
I jumped over and ahead of me was bushy forest, I just kept running and running, the other survivors where trying to stop me! I didn't stop until I saw something, the ocean!
I asked "Is that the ocean?" One of them answered something like "Yes", we jumped over the fence we went down onto the small beach, there was a cliff on the left of us blocking the view and the other side of us was bush. I went for a quick swim in the water, I got far enough out that I saw what was on the other side of the cliff, there was a house and docks!
I saw someone on the docks... We didn't have enough time to swim back and we where spotted! Whoever they where didn't seem to want to hurt us, I think they where calling us to come over to them, so we did, we got up onto their dock and they where very friendly, I think we chatted a bit... (Not sure what we said to each other, we probably where talking
about what happened to us and how we got here.) Until we heard the leaders of the path thing coming closer and closer! A girl on the dock said she could help me,
using a bit of magic! I quickly accepted, she said something and I turned into a wolf! (A minecraft wolf it looked like actually... Minecraft seems to seep into my dreams a lot. xD) I started slowly following the girl
around. The leaders came and looked at the girl and I suspiciously, they ended up knowing it was me... I got really panicked that I turned
into a pony (Or maybe one with wings.) and started running across the ocean neighing, the girl was holding a lead rope attached to me and I was pulling her along!
I was going really fast to! Soon they where out of sight and after a lot of running across the ocean I stopped at a strange island... It turns out we where at the corner
of the world! We couldn't go any further, the island was a small bit of sand, then a a big hollow rock shaped like a skull or something... (Might have been something else, I don't remember though.)
We ended up living there for a while, i'm not sure how long though. (Pretty sure I turned back into my normal self when we got onto the island.) Eventually we heard someone coming!
It was the other survivors (I think it was them, I don't remember much starting now.) from the walk! They brought us back to the girls dock I think... Then i'm pretty sure I woke up.
Yes, my dreams are weird. But wait until you hear the one I had only the other night...

I certainly had a CC related dream a while ago, but it was so bizarre... Someone died, and several people acted ridiculously out of character for them. It was very off putting.

I had a dream last night about how in the future we will all turn into wolf people... And some of us had already started changing I think. Yeah, that was strange. Other things happened in it to, like we went camping or something, and a few other things but I don't really remember.

I don't think I've had a creatures dream, certainly not a CC one. Generally my dreams are either weird or grim, so probably aren't best shared.
That said, I did have a really good dream the week we came back from Wales - on a hillside with sunshine and flowers. Was fab. Best dream for a very long time. |

Like Nutter, my dreams are usually very grim and strange, so I won't share most of them. But, a while back, in say 2008 or so, I did end up having a Creatures dream that may be worth sharing.
I was just in this place that claimed to be a 'norn sanctuary," but it was far from that. The setting was a dark and dreary night, and no one was around. I was the only one there. The area resembled an old open courtyard. The ground was covered in thick, cold layers of cobblestone then topped off with wet but warm hay. Some place near the middle of the space was a sort of trough, large and made of dark, swollen wood, and though it was surrounded by hay, there was nothing inside of it. To the right was a small ferris-wheel structure, but instead of possessing regular cars to sit in, it had cages that revolved slowly with the wheel. For some reason this gave me the notion that this place was the home of some type of norn capturer.
I can't quite remember what happened after I saw the ferris-wheel, but soon enough I was approaching a small tunnel in the side of a stone wall. It had a warm glowing light emanating from it, and the hay scattered in clumps along the dirt floor was warm and dry. I crouched down and crawled through the opening to find that the tunnel was about 4 by 5 feet in height and width respectively. As I went on I progressively became more and more afraid. The noises I was hearing echo through the tunnel could tell me only one thing. There was a Grendel at the end.
And upon that realisation, I awoke. |

Oh man. I could talk about dreams all day, but I'll just share my CCaves related dream (brief) and a lucid nightmare I had yesterday morning.
I was reading a new "Fun Factoids" thread in Strangeo and in it Papriko encouraged people to check out games by "Popcorn Studios" because they made WoW and Miasmata.
... That's just... It's hilarious how incorrect that was. XD
My lucid nightmare just kept repeating, though.
I woke up briefly and saw the ceiling fan and blankets over me. I soon fell asleep again and, for some reason, I couldn't block my vision or turn my head. In the dream, I felt myself try to cover my eyes with my hands but they were invisible. By now, I was fully aware that it was a dream. I started tapping on my forehead in desperation, trying to wake up but still no luck. Finally, my alarm went off and I was able to roll out of bed to get it. Unfortunately, that was also part of the dream and I was back in my frozen position, staring up at the motionless ceiling fan, covering my eyes with invisible hands, tapping my forehead, whatever I could think of until, finally, my real alarm went off and I was free from the nightmare.

Reposted from a thread I made but got locked since I didn't even know this thread existed.
I had a particularly weird dream where Ghosthande (I apparently "knew" this, even though I didn't see any indication of it being Ghosthande in the dream ) made some new content pack with a blue sword that turned into a spaceship (Didn't look like it was made in blender, but for some reason I can't really read text on computers in non-lucid dreams) I downloaded a few breeds from the pack and unzipped them (No idea what they were) and got some "Unusual shoes" that were in the pack also (They never appear in the dream again, apart from me wearing them in some hallway) Then there was this new metaroom that was a spaceship shaped like a rocket with two terrariums on the underside.
This was actually my first ever recorded dream of creaturescaves, I'm suprised this hasn't happened earlier really. |

Weirdest dream I ever had was a long time ago, and was very much like a very strange and dark episode of Star Trek... Anyway, it started off with me in a rocket landing on a planet... for some reason it was one of those old cigar-shaped 50's B-movie rockets with the jet on the bottom, and the little glass windows on the side, and when it landed, the front opened down and became metal stairs... When it opened, it revealed me and the other 3 on the rocket, we were wearing veleur(sic?) shirts and polyester uniforms a la the old Star Trek series or other old sci-fi from around then...
Anyway, the other 3 were Spock, Dave from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the shapeshifting Captain (also named Dave) played by Martin Landau in Space: 1999... we explored a little, the planet was kind of hot with jungle plants around... but then we got ambushed and captured by some primitive alien race (who of course, in true old sci-fi fashion, looked exactly like humans, but wore skins and had white hair and spoke some language we couldn't understand)... They tied us up and started marching us at spear point... I was kind of afraid at this point, but I was thinking we could handle the situation, maybe come to some sort of understanding with them... If nothing else, Spock could figure out a way to get us out of this. He is a genius after all, superhumanly strong, and of course has his mind-meld powers and neck pinch... and Martin Landau could always turn into a tiger or something if he had to.
Then they brought us to this place with benches, near a large pole and some contraption that looked a little like a catapult, except instead of a scoop at the end of the arm, it had a really big horn or tusk of some kind... anyway, they started chanting and I think there was some music with drums, and then they tied Dave to the pole, and rolled the tusk catapult thing over towards it, and then they pulled the rope, and the catapult arm flew up towards the pole and the huge tusk impaled him right through the forehead (and after he beat HAL and everything... poor Dave...) I came the sickening realization that the whole thing was some kind of ritual sacrificial ground and we were the sacrifices... they weren't interested in talking, or why we were there, or anything else... they just wanted to kill us and probably feed us to their computer god or whatever...
I was really horrified and scared at that point, and tried to struggle but the ropes were too strong, they were made of vines, but felt as strong as steel cable... I kept hoping Spock would be able to do something, looking over at him, but he shook his head, he couldn't get out either... A few minutes later, when they had removed the body and reset the arm, Martin Landau was next... the ropes were on too tight for him to shapeshift properly, and the same gruesome fate befell him, and I was sick to my stomach, but remember thinking weakly, 'Okay Spock, it's now or never...' but he could do nothing while tied up like that... Then it was his turn, I could only watch helplessly as they marched him up to the pole and hoisted him up, I was sure he would be able to do something to get away and save us when they came to get him... He was Spock! ...but the alien tribesmen seemed immune to his telepathic powers of suggestion, and he couldn't break the ropes, they were too strong even for him. Still, he tried to resist, and it took four of them to force him all the way to the pole and tie him to it, but he ended up dying the same way as the others, to my absolute shock and horror... I all but gave up at that point, knowing I was next, and had no friends left or way to escape, If someone like Spock couldn't fight his way out, I felt I had no chance... I kept struggling frantically trying to loosen my ropes, praying for a way out, but none came,.. Two of them grabbed me and marched me to the pole, and hoisted me up and tied me to it, chanting the whole time... I saw them draw the tusk arm back, then pull the rope... This was it... that giant tusk was flying up towards my face... and then I woke up sweating with my heart pounding through my chest...

Sounds a lot like a sleep-paralysis-fueled nightmare.
If it is, there's no need to panic. It tends to happen to a lot of people. All you need to do is improve on your sleep schedule.

Dreaming weird dreams is, oddly enough, a rare occasion over here. Most of my dreams have always had some foothold in reality (taking place in a location i'm familiar with; seeing and interacting with familiar people; not that much weird stuff going on, generally), aside from usually involving some subconscious wish fulfillment or nightmarish turn of events. It tends to lull me into thinking i'm awake whilst i'm actually dreaming, so i become surprised when i do finally wake up.
However, when my dreams are weird, boy do they get weird! The last truly weird dream i can remember from the top of my head involved me running from some elastic supervillainess, and when i confronted her and said something along the lines of "i used to be evil, but i learned something and now i want to be good", the entire universe collapsed in on itself and i woke up. |

I had a dream the other night where I accidentally burned one of my fingers... It wasn't the finger I have actually burned IRL, and it had a splotchy pattern, like I'd spilled something hot on there. I watched someone make caramel a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't get close enough to get burned.

I have really weird dreams, usually something to do with the books I read, like the Eternal Champion and Earthsea. This is a good one I had recently:
J dreamt about a lot of penguins having a weird race. I was one of them and we were running and sliding over snow first, and then we got to these wooden things we had to climb over, and pools we had to swim through. And every so often we came upon little puzzles lying in our way that we had to do before we could go on.

That penguin race should totally be an Olympic Event... it sounds awesome...
All of Michael Moorcock's books gave me weird dreams. The Elric Saga is a really great set of fantasy books by him, and it's part of a kind of larger arc encompassing most of his work, which details the Eternal Champion's struggles in an infinite multiverse where time runs in cycles, and things change with each 'revolution', yet also things are the same in many ways. The Corum trilogy is another set of books in the Eternal champion Saga. His writing style is vivid, and intense. I really recommend his stuff to anyone, he's a truly great fantasy/sci-fi writer.
Roger Zelazny is another really great writer if you like Fantasy or Sci-Fi, the 'Nine Princes in Amber' books are a masterpiece.

Late in the Dream I was Lisa Simpson, being escorted with the family through a facility, then through a reality that was remniscient of Inception. We were then discovered and all had to hide. Maggie or whatever and I, Maggie and I somehow more age and physically mature, hid in this strange room. It curved around to something like a kitchen. There was also a pedestal and we felt it lead to another world/room. Maggie looked into it and we knew the bad guy was heading all along for this room suddenly. So, as the door opened and the villain stood there and men with guns, we hopped into the magical world.
Suddenly I was more a Sayaka Miki version of Lisa Simpson, with Maggie as Bebe or something. We wandered the city, eventually finding a rival/villain character, who pushed us out of the way, while followed by two evil looking, twin-like characters, who held identical tridents that ended on the other side with many dead tree branches. I wanted to fight, and they stood there nearly impervious until I took their weapons and began stabbing them with their weapons, but the twins laughed and waited, as they healed naturally, slowly, but naturally, and the wounds and stab holes disappeared, and I used magic too from the staff section, but eventually they turned it on me, then the little girl character got in the way, died in one hit.
My powers seemed to go lucid, as I then began
to hop around space and nearly time, confusing
the chasing twins, escaping them, saving Bebe,
and even finding my friends.
I forgot how
the dream ended.

I was chewing gum, but then I had a weird feeling in my mouth. I tried to take out the gum and one of my teeth came with it :S
Felt so realistic that I woke up.
For some reason I often have dreams where I lose teeth. My real teeth actually are in a decent condition...

I had this frightening dream where my husband and I were outside, collecting bird eggs to take home with us so we could raise them (not the scary part). When I got into the car and collected the eggs into my lap, a man with wide, scary, unblinking eyes and a wide grin approached us and as my husband backed up the car, the stranger pulled out a gun. He hopped onto the hood and aimed the gun at my husband's head and when I started thinking "no, don't kill my husband!" the man pointed the gun at me and shot me in the throat. I didn't feel pain, but my vision was shot and I felt like I couldn't breathe for a moment. Naturally, I did start breathing again since dreams shouldn't stop you breathing... unless you intentionally hold your breath in your dream. Anyway, I didn't feel pain and I still saw only black but I heard the man shoot my husband and I felt the car stop.
Next thing I knew, my husband and I were in a queue to go to heaven. And then we took separate space ships into space...? I don't know. I kind of lost track after the dream got ridiculous. Weird stuff.

Oh gosh, where do I even start. XD
I can't remember my more recent dreams for very long, but there are a couple ones I had a while back that I remember pretty well. In one of them, I was with a bunch of random kids, and we all had things like squirt guns and foam bats and other toy weapons. Apparently, we were supposed to fight a fully-weaponized army with said toys. We waited for a while but the army didn't show up. Eventually, me and some other girl were sent to go find the other army. But when we got to the place where they were supposed to be camped, no one was there. I can't remember what happened after that, but I guess we won by default. |

One of my favorite dreams is I was in bed, but we where driving the beds like cars, and so was everyone else. I was in the main hall of my school so i floored the accelerator to get out, but it just streched and warped. It inspired an invention. The bed car! (coming to a target near you)
