Here's a place for all those tea fanatics to sit and discuss the perfect cup. How do you take your tea? What's your favourite flavour? Cause who doesn't like to sit down with a nice hot cuppa? c[_]

You mean a hot cuppa coffee?
If you ask me you can't go wrong with good green tea. It might just be because I was raised in Japan and -have- to have it with fish or rice but it's easily my favorite. I've never experimented with my own mixes but I also like Twinning's Earl Grey and their Lemon tea.

Green tea is a nice anti-inflammatory! And you can take the leftover tea bags from it and use it to reduce swelling eyes and styes.

I didn't know about green tea reducing swelling - I'll have to try that, although I don't drink green tea all that often. It seems to be quite variable; some of it is quite cabbage-y.
I mainly like builder's tea, nothing classy here - plenty of milk and sugar and strong enough to stand the spoon up in. Usually Tetley or Typhoo these days; PG seems to have gone downhill, and don't even talk to me about the pyramid bags - it's just dust!
That said, if I am being posh, I love Gunpower Green tea - despite the name, it's a fermented tea, in little pellets that swell up when it's brewed. And a good Assam's a treat for holiday breakfast.
This is probably what helped give me anaemia though - tannin restricts the body's ability to absorb iron, so fermented teas shouldn't be drunk within an hour of a meal (before or after). Meh, I still do though. :/ Breakfast just isn't breakfast without a cuppa. |

Anti-inflammatories! Helps ease weight loss, too.
I don't drink fermented teas, personally.
I'd have to say that my favourite flavour is Stash's Meyer lemon, but something can certainly be said for blueberry. Rose is definitely good too! Can't stand plain chamomile though. Tastes like grass no matter how much honey I put in it.

Chamomile does work though - it's very soothing to the nerves if you don't have it often. (Drink too much of it and it has the opposite effect!) Think of it as medicinal. |

I take my tea very strong, with a dash of milk and one sugar. I'm definitely a fan of the so-called 'Builder's Tea' found in roadside cafés, and a connoisseur of the 'Yorkshire Tea' teabag! I also keep a supply of Twining's 'Rose Garden' blend in the cupboard, for those days when I need a little something extra to help me unwind. It's a gorgeous, delicate tea with the sweet scent of roses. You can have it with a drop of milk, according to your taste, but I always drink it black.
Dragonfly Teas's rooibos is always a good choice too, being caffeine-free and all that, and it has such a warming, earthy smell.
I never realised that green tea could reduce swelling either; you learn something new everyday! That's good to know actually, since I'm not allowed to take anti-inflammatory tablets for medical reasons. Thanks for the tip! |

That 'Rose Garden' tea sounds divine, Laura!
Come to think of it, I've never had tea with milk or sugar. Granted, the only milk mum ever gets is skim, which I think is just water pretending to be milk. ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)

I'm also a fan of your traditional "builder's tea" with a sugar and some milk. However, I've been on a bit of a health kick the past few months so I've been experimenting with other herbal teas.
My favourite that I've found is a spicy cinnamon flavour, very nice start to a cold morning! Before bed I usually have a cup of a vanilla green tea (aptly named 'sleepytime vanilla' ), which has a very relaxing aroma!

I generally drink black tea (Castleton Darjeeling is one of my favorites), with a little bit of sugar and no cream.
I do occasionally drink some green tea, but a lot of them taste odd to me.
My little sister likes the Sleepytime teas as well, and she has several boxes with different varieties. The one time I tried it, though, it had the opposite of the intended effect, and it didn't really taste that great. I have not tried the vanilla one yet, though, so I might try that and see if it works better. If it does, I'll probably be drinking a lot, because I generally have a hard time getting to sleep, and I don't have any lavender handy.

Ooooooh! Oh my gosh I love tea!
My favorite kinds so far are mint teas and green teas! The best I've had yet has got to be Moroccan mint gunpowder tea from Republic of Tea. It's so intense and flavorful! Celestial Seasonings' mint green tea with white tea accents is also lovely!
As for how I like to drink it.. I usually like it very strong and with no milk or sugar. Sometimes I'll add a dash of ginger

I love all kinds of tea! Usually I drink cold Lipton tea because it's easily accessible, but when I can I buy loose leaf green tea, usually sencha. I don't put sugar or anything in tea.

English-tea-wise I've only managed to get my hands on plain Lipton green tea, which I honestly really dislike. Though I have only had it black - next time I find some I am definitely going to try milk and sugar!
Normally, my choice of tea is Chai. It's creamy and earthy, and it's got a zing to it! |

I generally drink green or herbal teas, as I don't handle caffeine very well, but I won't say no to a good Earl Grey either. I don't usually add sugar or milk unless I'm drinking chai or certain flavored teas though.
Adagio's Foxtrot tea (chamomile-rooibos-peppermint) is a favorite. <3 |

Oh man, tea is one of my favorite drinks. I love oolong, green and black teas, chai, some fruity kinds (Lipton's Superfruit with blueberry and acai<3), plain lemon, plain blueberry, and the best flavor ever discovered: peppermint. I drink most of my tea without milk or sweetener. If I do add anything, it's just a little milk and usually to the Lipton superfruit tea.
Unfortunately I'm allergic to the bergamot in Early Grey, but I do like the taste of it.
I really like Bentley's Teas, Celestial Seasonings (Mandarin Orange Spice is best with oatcakes, in the fall season), Twinings, and Bigelow. |

Earl Grey?! *shudder* I remember the first time I tried that - didn't know what it was, thought the person who gave it to me hadn't rinsed the mug out properly! XD Lady Grey is a bit less full-on (and doesn't use bergamot, so that might be an option for you). |

Tea is weird. You take pieces of the dead, pour hot water over them and finally drink that.
Lol, I just like to mention that for fun sometimes
Anyways, although it is not because of that, but I don't quite like tea anyways.
