I'm pleased to announce that today the The Idea Incubator Beta has begun! You can read all about the Idea Incubator here.  What is the Idea Incubator? The Idea Incubator started as an idea to boost the development and creation of third-party content for the Creatures and the Creatures Community. Members with great ideas but with no technical or creative skills can submit their ideas so others with these skills can make their ideas come true. How does this beta version differ from a final version? Using this beta, we can see if the idea works out well. In this beta version the ideas will be submitted via Google Forms. We'll also have two phases: a submitting phase and a voting phase. Also we don't have a points system yet. How does the voting system work? People need to specify their username. People will be able to vote ten times in the voting phase. You can vote on your own ideas or use all your votes to support one idea. Any votes after that by the same user will be ignored. You know I love this idea! Hopefully it will take off and provide developers with a lot of unique ideas. I'm hoping that perhaps this will help out with some CCSF releases. In the worst case, my guess is that this will be something to pay attention to during the CCSF and showcase in some way. I know I've had some ideas over the past few months... Might have to submit some soon! |

Will definitely be taking part in the beta stage! It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out, and I'd still vote for it being a new addition to our Dev section if successful! We were recently talking about how it could be expanded and made more useful, and 'The Idea Incubator' could be just the thing; although of course it's up to Rascii. |

i like the first idea :3 wolves and foxes are some of my favourite animals so to have them included in some way would be amazing |

The spreadsheet is open to the public, HavenHoney, so anyone with the URL can view it. Would it be too forward of me to ask why you'd prefer only our members to see the ideas? I doubt they would be stolen, since we're all pretty much on top of any new creations for Creatures. |

All ideas on Creatures Caves are also posted publicly, though: It's only the members who are able to reply and post responses. I've only ever seen a few cases of stolen ideas in the community, and none that have happened recently. It's good to be concerned about it, though! Still, I think we'll all keep an eye out to make sure none of these ideas are taken and used elsewhere. And in the unlikely case that someone comes up with a similar idea and develops it, I think we'd still be able to handle it pretty well! |

Well, I just submitted my idea for an IQ testing metaroom.... Will there be a progress column? Basically a column that will tell if a specific type of help is needed for the project? For example, my IQ testing metaroom would only need help with the coding since I am part way through with finishing the sprites for it. Will there also be an option for editing the full description if you later realize that you forgot to describe something? |

Seems like this concept has been a success! What happens with The Idea Incubator now, eprillios? By the way, I'd love to see season-themed Garden Box patch plants; that's a genius idea! Imagine how pretty a metaroom, like Veridia, could look with autumnal plants and colours. Or any metaroom really! |
