Chapter 2

It's been a while since Dastia was born and she is now a child. While in her room she hears a conversation between her father and one of his friends. "Shut up. They found two dead Gaiuses in Aesila's Cave?!" Makaktu says to his friend. "I would never lie to you Makaktu! What makes the discovery even creepier is that they also found traces of ATP Decoupler in their system and a single stab wound on both. Some are thinking that Aesila herself killed them, though as to why is anybody's guess" answers his friend.

At that moment, Dastia walks into the room and asks the two "What are you two talking about?" "Er, adult matters sweetie. How about you go outside and help your mother and brother with the crops?" replies her father, looking like a secret was exposed. Obediently Dastia goes outside and looks for Elasa and Mavinu. She finds them planting Tendril seeds. Dastia goes to sit by her mother and asks her "Mommy, can you tell me the story of how the world came to be?" "Sorry sweetie but I'm busy right now. I promise to tell you the story at bedtime. Can you please help me out with planting these seeds? We need to have all the crops planted by tomorrow night" Elasa tells Dastia. Dastia obeys and helps her mother. The task takes all day. At bedtime Dastia reminds her mother about the promise. "Oh I'm sorry sweetie, I forgot. I'll tell you the story now. A long, long time ago, the mysterious and magical Shee created Norns, Grendels, Ettins, and Geats. The Shee took care of them, taught them the Shee language, gave them food when they were hungry and toys when they were bored.

One day, the Shee had to leave and where they were going, they couldn't take all of the Creatures with them. So, the Shee assigned a beast known as a Hand to take care of the Creatures who got left behind. The Hand was cruel. It would slap Grendels incessantly for no reason, it injected dangerous chemicals into Creatures, it drove away Geats from their part of the world, it took away all the food in the Ettin's part of the world, and many other horrible things. This went on for a very long time, but as time passed, the Creatures became smarter, stronger, and more long-lived, until eventually they rose up against the Hand.

After the Hand was driven away, the Creatures worked together to repair the world. When the world was fixed, the Creatures organized the world into 4 Realms: the Realm of the Norns, the Realm of the Grendels, the Realm of the Ettins, and the Realm of the Geats, each with their own unique inhabitants, economy, leadership, and culture. That is how it's been, and how it will always be. The End". Happy, Dastia says to her mother "Thank you Mommy. I really like that story. Goodnight, Mommy". Elasa replies "Goodnight, Dastia. I love you" and walks to her and Makaktu's room. It's the calm before the storm.....
