Creatures Caves

I've been tempted to draw my Asura time and time again. Maybe sometime this weekend I actually will, if the dog will allow me a steady hand and dry paper. [nlaugh]

Speaking of, I better get these posted now that I'm done taking screencaps and cropping them down to size. They were taken in the highest quality settings, but the laptop that I play the game on is anywhere from two to three years old so it may render differently than the top of line machines of today. But, all around from what I've heard, there's still issues with clipping and gaps appearing where there shouldn't be. Which is why I disarmed the lot before I started taking pictures! Anyway, in the order of creation:

Itazuramono - Female Asura, Lvl 80 Necromancer x
Gata Weigh Atonne - Female Charr, Lvl 67 Thief x
Fragg the Incessant - Male Asura, Lvl 65 Guardian x
Makkai - Female Asura, Lvl 69 Ranger x
Bodakk the Detached - Male Asura, Lvl 9 Mesmer x

Aaaaaaand action shots of all five, even though I couldn't take Gata's at close range like I wanted to without cutting off a part of her. She's the biggest one out of the whole group even without that fabulous hat. What she is doing in her picture is the dance of her race. Fun fact about that: It is also a traditional dance from the Maori people of New Zealand. (Can't figure out why that "a" with a line above it in the name "Maori" won't show up in the preview like it does in the text input. The Asura | Gata

Among the Asura its easy to tell the variation of heights that I had chosen. Well, almost easy, since "Grandpa" Bodakk is bent over as if curiously studying whatever it was that startled him. He's actually the same height as Fragg, who appears to be pondering something. I'm not sure why Makkai looks the same height as Ita when I know for a fact that I set the height slider right at medium. But I certainly don't blame her for disagreeing with me for taking her short bow and axes away just for a few pictures; like everyone else she got them back in the end. What the shortest of the bunch has to be terrified of can be anybody's guess. [nlaugh]

On Ita's action pic, there's really not much of a difference besides the coloring on her gear and the location of the shot. Back items, like the animated holographic wings on her current look and the plush backpacks on Gata and Bodakk, disappear on animated emotes.

I love how my non-Human characters are so expressive! Though I am tempted to save up to buy a makeover kit to change Fragg's features. I've invested far too much time and game currency to scrap him completely and start over again. Apparently his look is very popular on my home server. Popular enough that the joke among my friends in game is that he either is the father of them all or they all come from the largest family of Asura known to Tyria! [nlaugh]
