Ok, so I managed to get my wav files into a mng file with a script that seems to work. The mng file plays fine in mngplayer and mngpad tells me there are no errors in the script.
But when I try to get it to play ingame, there is nothing. The wahwah DS music is not there, but neither is my music file.
This is the first time I have tried this and I could use some suggestions, please.

This is what happens to me if the .wav filesize is too big... I had the exact same problem in KT and Devil's Reef until I cut the .wav files down to a more manageable size, and then they played.
You could try using a 'test' sound effect in your MNG that's really short and has a small filesize; if the filesize is the problem after all and not something else, then it will play.

Do you remember the maximum working filesize of your wave files?

I don't know what the maximum is; I was always more worried about getting something that would still loop seamlessly, which usually meant cutting it a bit shorter than the limit.
