News Forum Grendel Man's 21st    Sanely Insane RisenAngel    Manager     7/22/2013 Just like last year, I'm giving the community a gift in the form of a pair of releases for my birthday. Considering it's my 21st, which is a pretty significant milestone considering it's the last major one until my 50th (and that's assuming I make it to that point), one would think I'd be a little quicker in getting them out there, but better late than never, right? Unfortunately, this is where the streak of aquatic releases ends, but I hope you'll enjoy them regardless! The W-Runner Grendels are designed both for wolfling runs and for general Docking Station play. Their most noticeable feature is that they're able to follow smells and navigate lifts and doors from birth, but they bring quite a few other quirks to the table. They like to use portals, bringing us to the second release.... These portals are functionally the same as other portals (such as the Interporters), but not only do they have the appearance of actual warp portals, using one of these portals feels exactly the same for a creature as using the real Warp would. It's nowhere near the same level as having the real Warp, but it might make for a nice substitute if you're feeling nostalgic or otherwise longing for DS's long-lost online features. Get both these releases at the Realm! That's enough from me for the month (and possibly for the rest of the summer). I'm particularly looking forward to using those nostalgic interporters.
