Strangeo Forum The Game of Music-ness    Issy Moderator     6/19/2013 No idea what to call this game. Anyhow... sorry ahead of time if I don't make any sense. I love music, a lot. I always listen to it. This is a game I just thought up, probably been done or thought of before but here is how it goes. -The first person will say a genre, followed by an artist. -The next person must say another artist in the same genre. -The next person repeats the last step, unless the artist has the same first letter of their name as the previous one, in which case, they could put a new genre and artist. See my posting example. Link to an appropriate song if you want! The song has no impact on the game, its just there for people to listen if they'd like! Posting Example: Post 1: Rock, AC/DC Post 2: The Who Post 3: Creed Post 4: Country, Carrie Underwood Post 5: Hunter Hayes Post 6: Blake Shelton Post 7: Dubstep, Skrillex Post 8: Skream etc.. Rules: And general guidelines! 1. Don't reply to yourself, give a good one to three posts before you post again. 2. Keep the genres simple. Don't go into subgenres unless they are very popular. I will update the following list accordingly, because my mind is drawing a blank right now. Some Acceptable Genres: -Rock -Metal -Pop -Country -Rap -Classical -Jazz -Blues -Dubstep -Other obvious ones I forget. Some Acceptable Subgenres: -Punk Rock -Classic Rock -I can't think of others. But keep it simple. I only know rock/metal subgenres so, sorry. XD 3. You may go by the artist's last or first name if applicable, when trying to switch genres. For instance, with Carrie Underwood, you can switch to rock with Creed, or to pop(?) with Usher. 4. Two artists must be listed from the same genre before you can change the genre. Try to keep the genre going for a while! 5. Don't know someone in a specific genre but want to keep the game going? Look up an artist! :3 6. Have fun! Still confused? Think of this game as if it were the card game 'Uno'. It's pretty much the same concept! Hope you all enjoy this game and that it isn't too complicated! Here's a good song: P.O.W. (Prisoner of War) One of their more.... 'rocky' songs, and in my opinion, the only really good one off the newest album.
