Attack of the nick-names!

Does anyone have weird/elaborate/geeky nicknames for pets/people/household appliances? I want to know them, and try to make up weirder/even more elaborate ones, (and see other people come up with them) so I thought, why not make a thread for that very purpose!

I'll start. I've nick-named my gladiolus "Sir lemon-drop, the One Bulb to Rule them all."

Oh dear. With two dogs come many, many nicknames.

"Mr. Fluffykins", "Wunder hunden" and "My Big, Hamsome Taiko-Taiko" are pretty common utterances. Yes, that says Ham-some.

Oh that's great, my nick-names for my cats are tame even with-out comparison. "Mittens" becomes "Mitty-Kitty" and "Trixy" becomes "Trixy-Wixy". Mittens also gets called "grumpy" "prissy" and *very annoyed cat noises* a lot.

I don't know about nicknames, but I have names for all of my herbs. They are in sharpie marker, too, on their pots, so I don't for get who is whom.

Basil - The Baz (like Bruce Springsteen is "The Boss";)
Oregano - Reggie
Rosemary - Rose Marie
Thyme - Just a picture of a clock

Also, our cat is Ollie, short for "Olive Oyl"; however, we've mostly called her "Kitty" for the past four years (her entire life), so that's the only name to which she responds.

Our dog, Frankie, has too many nicknames to post. "Grumpy" also gets tossed around in our house a lot! :P

Ahh "Grumpy". When either dog is being moodly I like to call them "Mr. Grumpy Growly Pants". The longer I live with these two, the more "Mr. X Pants" names there are.

Silly names for things that aren't my dogs? Well, My Computer is named Xenon, after the gas and the computer before that was named Omega. My in-laws named their pool scrubber "Eyegore" and their Roomba is "Eyegore Jr.".

I need a name for my computer. Probably "Productivity Killer", but that's not much of a name. P.K. for short.

I call my dog Froofy because he prances around all the time and never acts like a normal dog. He's more like a cat most of the time.

Ah, geez, computer nick names?

My current laptop is Mio, aka Underpowered Overpriced Brick.
My previous was A-Ko.
My previous previous was Over Priced Doorstop.
The one before that was Someday I'll Be Able To Afford A Pentium.
And the first didn't have a name, but if it did, it would have been called Best Technology of 1980. Of course, I owned it in 1991.

My favorite norn is still Belldandy.

My mom's Chihuahua gets called "AAAAARRRRRG" a lot. Also "you stop that" "Buuuuuuddyyyyy!!!" (a la Alvin and the chipmunks) and (not a direct quote) "cease moving your vocal cords immediately". edit; Although I've probably yelled that over him at least once.

I usually don't nickname my pets or anything else offline, but I do tend to name my electronics "Zerspalten" (German for "cleave" ). The one exception to this is my current computer, which is called "Realm."

Even then, that's just the names I give them when setting them up requires that I call the device something. I never call them by those names out loud.

We hardly ever call my cat Fireball by her actual name anymore, it seems like. It's always "Fuzzbutt" or "Missy Fuzzbutt" or "mamas" or "furball" or "fatty" or "weirdo"... and so on.

I call my roosters "Mr. Handsome," "Handsome Ransom," "Studly muffin," etc all the time even though they do have individual names. Only my keepers though.

We used to nickname one of our pitbulls "ranch muffin" or "kegs on legs" or "little piglet" at times. In a nice cute way though. She's small and got short legs but a muscled body, however she's not those grossly steroid-looking dogs.

We once had a mastiff cross named Cliff who we called "Clifferdoodles" quite often. Another was named Tesla but nicknamed "Tesluns" or "beefcake" or "big stud." We also used to have a pit named Jake who we called "Shake'n'Bake," haha! My mom's Chihuahua is Coco, but her nickname often is "Cokes" - She replies to that name with a weird spastic movement followed by excitement.

I name my banana plants. :$ They're my babies and until they die after fruiting they all get names relevant to their varieties. My Rajapuri is "Raj" (like from the big bang theory) one of my Velutinas is "Tino," one of my Namwahs are "Blue Ice," my 1000 Fingers is "Thousand Fingahz," stuff like that. I need to name my new additions though. I like expanding my collection a lot.

-Karias; a bit fruity and gone bananas in the wrong climate! :D

My family also calls my dog things other than his actual name. It's usually Stinky, Stinkface, or Poohead because he's really dumb. [nlaugh] He never seems to mind; he wags his tail at anything we end up calling him.

In theory our guinea pigs got actual names, but in the most cases we call them by their character traits or whatever seperates them from the others. This makes my piggies have the following nicknames:

Man-Eater: he bites fingers much more aggressively than the others when you got the juice of some fruit or vegetable on them

Cheeky Pig or Big Mouth: he doesn't actually do anything, but he always makes pretty aggressive squeak noises when you touch him or pick him up, almost as if he'd yell at you

Dumba**: he is dumb, even when you use the scale of guinea pigs...

Female or Small Crazy Female: the other 3 piggies are guys and she's pretty active for her age

Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...

I call my rabbit King Tribble because he is a gigantic ball of fluff. (His real name is Rabbitty - not hugely imaginative I'll admit).

My dad's cats are named Draaideur and Loeder by my mother. These names are Dutch, so I will try to explain them. :P

Draaideur: That name means "Revolving door". XD She wants to go outside and inside all the time. Sometimes she only wants to go inside to eat for two minutes and then she wants to go outside again. It can be tiresome at times. :P
Loeder: That name means "Scoundrel". My mother gave her this name because she's very naughty, like knocking over vases frequently. Still, she's very sweet. ;)
