Okay, so this is the first half of a poem I started a few days ago that was creatures inspired. It is a petrarchan sonnet and it follows the scheme of ABBAABBA CDCDCD. I'm still trying to figure out the second half and I may change parts of what I already have. Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome. Shining scales bright, Deep in the jungle, rushing through the tangle, the Grendel dashes through the light. Long tail spotted white, with jewelled treasures that dangle from it's wrists they jangle deep in the night. (second half to come later) |
