Fishing Cactus have finally released some massive news about our next, long-awaited Creatures game: Euro Distribution of Creatures Online.

I think the name change was a great idea on their part, personally.

Also, hooray for semi-open betas! To bad I live in north America and will have to wait for FC to find someone to help with logistics there.

Agreed that the name change was definitely a good thing! After a while just naming things in numerical order can get a tad recessive.

Also I sadly live in North America as well so no beta-testing for me for awhile! Aw well.

I'm ok with the new name, altrough it will alaways be called Creatures: Reborn in my mind.
Hooray for an open beta! I hope I'm able to play it since I don't know if my country is part of the countries that ProSiebenSat.1 covers.

They don't mention South America at all. Maybe you should try to contact them directly to let them know that there is interest in the game on that continent as well.

Fishing Cactus are usually pretty good at responding to comments on recent blog posts - you might like to try that.

Still not quite sure what I should think about this Pro7 thing... Apparently they have some better games now, such as DC Universe, but... I don't know, I associate bad/cheap/poorly made games with them somehow and I don't wanna extend that to C4.

Or Creatures Online as it is called now.

I don't mind the name change, but probably won't be able to take part most likely due to my internet not being able to handle the ridiculous filesizes most downloadable applications are, unless they have a brain and decide to use file compression. $:\$

I kind of thought of DS as "Creatures Online" ... Or DS with C3.

I think Creatures Online is a better name all round - it makes the game more accessible to new players, who may not have heard of the original series and who may be intimidated by picking up the fourth game without having played the originals, and also marks it clearly as an online-only game.

I don't have any experiences with or knowledge of ProSiebenSat.1 Games but I'm hoping this gives Fishing Cactus a needed boost of funds to make a great game and a marketing boost to help said game reach a larger audience.
