Grow Some Bouncing Plums! It took me a while, but I've finally released the Bouncing Plums Patch Plant over at the Garden Box Central forums: This juicy, bouncy fruit can now grow anywhere for all creatures to enjoy, even underwater.

Any comments and feedback are welcome; this is my first foray into patch plant creation! I hope everyone likes it. :D A special mention also goes to Mea and GirlySatan for the use of their wonderful sprites! You can see more of Mea's work at Caos of the Creatures Realm.

Remember, if you've never used the Garden Box before, all your catalogues must be in the right place, and you must download the agents that work with the Garden Box in the Agents Collective.

These look awesome, Laura! I'm still in the midst of wading through my spriting project and haven't been able to play, but you bet this is going on my list of agents to add the next time I have time to enjoy C3/DS. Can't wait to add these!

I think it's missing a catalogue dependency - it won't let me inject the agent because a dependency is missing. The images are included, the sounds are fine, so I think it's the descriptive catalogue for the bouncing plums.

That's bizarre, it injects for me fine via the Garden Box... I'll look into it at some point tomorrow. :)

Thanks, Laura! :) I think it's because your pray file might not have the Bouncing_Plums.catalogue file included as an inline file, like the C16 is.

Here's the contents of the PRAY file I used:

"en-GB"

group DSGB "Bouncing Plums"

"Agent Animation File" "bouncingplums.c16"

"Agent Animation Gallery" "bouncingplums"

"Agent Animation String" "3"

"Agent Description" "Juicy plums, with added springiness!"

"Dependency 1" "bouncingplums.c16"

"Dependency 2" "boun.wav"

"Dependency 3" "chwp.wav"

"Dependency 4" "Bouncing_Plums.catalogue"

"Agent Author" "Laura"
"GB_Category" 1

"Remove script" "enum 1 205 22929 kill targ next enum 2 8 14852 kill targ next scrx 2 8 14852 4 scrx 2 8 14852 5 scrx 2 8 14852 6 scrx 2 8 14852 9 scrx 2 8 14852 12"

"Script Count" 1

"Script 1" @ "bouncingplums.cos"

"Agent Type" 0

"Dependency Count" 4

"Dependency Category 1" 2

"Dependency Category 2" 1

"Dependency Category 3" 1

"Dependency Category 4" 7

"Agent Sprite First Image" 2

inline FILE "bouncingplums.c16" "bouncingplums.c16"

inline FILE "boun.wav" "boun.wav"

inline FILE "chwp.wav" "chwp.wav"

inline FILE "Bouncing_Plums.catalogue" "Bouncing_Plums.catalogue"

The Bouncing_Plums.catalogue file seems to be included as an inline file; can you spot what else is missing? I'm a bit stumped.

Update: If you downloaded the Bouncing Plums earlier and received a dependency error, please try downloading them again, as they have been re-compiled with Monk and appear to be in working order. They obviously had an issue with PRAYBuilder. Sorry for the inconvenience! :)

Due to a problem with the eating script, the Bouncing Plums have undergone a few changes:

- Your creatures should now be able to eat the plums with no problems; thank you to C-Rex for reporting this issue!
- The bouncing noise has been replaced with something quieter.
- They grow more slowly and rot a bit faster.

A mention also goes out to Ham5ter for his ever-helpful beta testing! There should be no further issues, but please let me know if you happen to stumble across any. :) [Download the Bouncing Plums 2.0]

No problem; I hope everyone enjoys the changes! :) Since I haven't received any negative feedback yet, I'm going to assume that all issues have been fixed.

The only issue I've found is one of my Norns falling off the Norn Terrarium cliff trying to grab them from the lower branches of the Norn Terrarium tree, but he's probably just dumb. [nlaugh]

I've found that the plums blend in well with the scenery of the Biodome, Veridia and C2toDS too; lots of convenient places to grow them in either of those! :)
