I have a windows computer, running DS, and a folder on it containing all the files of a completely installed LINUX C3!
I have been converting the .cos files to DS, and want to convert the metarooms. Anyone know how?
Thanks.

Have you tried using the C3 in DS metarooms?

Well, don't try to throw the files just together into the same folder. I tried that before and I tell you, it will horribly horribly mess up...
I think it was possible to change a config file, could've been engine.cfg, not sure though.
Anways, what I wanted to say: when you found the right config file, you just have to make it point to your according C3 directories. Body Data files and Sprites and Cosfiles and the whole other junk are compatible between Linux and Windows versions of the game. You got windows DS installed, that is absolutely sufficient as engine. It should be able to run as DS solo and as C3/DS docked. The C3 binary is not required for docked worlds.
You'd only need the C3 binary if you wanted to play it alone without DS.

Thanks for the .cfg idea - I will try it.
Just to make sure that I've got this right, I need to change which folders the engine.cfg file uses, to make c3 work with DS?
Thanks for helping.

Well, you should not mess with the file which defines the DS folders.
Actually there is another file which tells where C3 has been detected. The file is usually written fully automatically, but when you make one by hand you can fool the game, thinking it found C3 already.
You should ask someone who got C3 and DS installed to look through the files in the DS root directory (which also contains the engine.exe and such). Once you got a copy of the file it should be easy to rewrite it for your needs.
