So, I have this ten gallon halfmoon aquarium sitting on my dresser, fishless, occupied by a moss ball, and endlessly cycling. The only thing in it is a heater, the usual filter system, rainbow gravel, the moss ball, and a small LED-lit volcano bubbler. But I am stumped on exactly how I want to decorate the thing and what I want in there, besides anything but goldfish.
But the focus of my post today is more about the decorating half of my problem.
Now, the idea I have is to do a Creatures theme and how I'm going to accomplish that is by making the decorations myself. Creating one's own aquarium decorations is not really all that hard, it just takes some time and money for the materials. I am confident that I could bring to life a little piece of the Creatures universe but where the detail devil is lurking is: What part The Creatures universe is vast and still growing; filled with both official and fan content. For my own safety and sanity I'm narrowing my options down to the official. But there's still a pretty big selection and that, right there, has been what is keeping me from decorating and stocking the tank.
I would love to see some solid ideas or suggestions and if it will help any, I'll be attaching the specs and diagram of the aquarium as soon as I can find where I put them. No idea is too advanced or complicated for me to figure out and accomplish, so fire away!
(If the mods would like to move this thread elsewhere, feel free to do so. I posted it here in Strangeo because to me it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.)

You could always try modelling the Creatures 1 desert island but of course leave some space underneath for the fish to swim through.

Both are neat ideas so far. The only one of my own so far is to plop the C2 shee statue into the C3 crypt, but I think that's because of the influence of the neat little headstones and statuettes scattered around the aquarium on the dresser. ![[ntongue] [ntongue]](/images/smilies/emot_tongue.gif)
Malkin: The Statue of Nornity would definitely make use of the LED bubbler that I have in the tank right now. The volcano that's sitting over it isn't attached to it in any way, so I wouldn't be breaking anything or buying any new parts unless something happens to the bubble tubing around the lights. All I'd have left to do is match some plants and fake corals with it after its made.
C-Rex: The desert island sounds like a nice challenge already! Leaving gaps for the fish to swim through is a given, of course, but shouldn't be too hard if one takes into account that there's already the underwater tunnel, the submarine bay, and two lift shafts. I'd say the trickiest part of that one to accomplish would have to be the underwater observatory bubble. Well, and making sure that the water heater and the filtration system aren't blocked in any way and the moss ball has sufficient enough light and space to roam. ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)
A word on the file I had intended to throw up last night, I couldn't find it so here's a couple of new ones that I made. First link is an actual picture of the aquarium in question, showing where a couple of things are, and the second is what I originally meant to post.
The way it is now.
