Hello everyone! I have decided to make Ainarda available as-is. It's not perfect and it still needs a lot of love but it's playable! I thought before the imminent release of Creatures 4 I'd make the world available. Hope you enjoy!!!

Man, this place is gorgeous, and I really love the enormous amount of space that's available to water-dwelling creatures.
However, you probably should have compiled the agents into...well, agent files. As it stands, the place is unusable to anyone who lacks CAOs skills (or at the very least, anyone who is incapable of using the CAOs Tool or equivalent program).
I'd be more than happy to turn everything into a usable agent file, but there's one thing that's seriously bothering me: is it possible that something can be done about this wall? As it is, it's a deathtrap for baby creatures, as they'll run up it and get stuck. While it is possible to fix it without a graphics edit, a graphics edit would make it look more believable and minimize the space lost.

I've been wondering when this room would be released. I've loved it's looks ever since I first saw the preview of the background. It is so gorgeous! I'm just glad that I do know the minimum amount of caos needed to get this beautiful room to show up in game. It's a bit of a puzzle to work through which cos files I should be injecting in which order & at this point I am still doing a bit of guessing, but for a metaroom this beautiful, it is definitely worth it. |

Aww thank you all SO much, I really appreciate it!
Anyone who is interested in compiling the cos files into proper agents is more than welcome. Ainarda is now open to anyone who wants to tinker around with it. For anyone with a basic knowledge of CAOS it should be fairly simple to do. I just don't have time to get it all done (as it is now I'm writing this when I should be bolting to the door so I won't be late for work). So please do feel free to improve upon the world in any way you please!!!! Grendel_Man, if you do compile the agents then let me know at my site and I'll post the files for others to download from there!

I'd be happy to fix the downloads up... including the metaroom, since I was the one responsible for the Wall of Doom in the first place. I still have the original Map Editor file, so it would be easier for me to fix it than for someone else to try to edit the raw code.
It would also give me the chance to incorporate a few of the other code snippets into the metaroom's .agent file, since some (like the world expansion script) don't really make sense being packaged separately.

Awesome work, Merboy! I haven't downloaded it yet as I'd like to wait for the update from Ghosthande... Though I don't know if I'll hold out. This is certainly at the top of my list of downloads to grab when I have a moment! And who knows: My C3/DS Norns might just star in a video showcasing this metaroom in the near future! Great work, Merboy (and those who helped out)! Thanks so much for releasing this!

Been waiting for this for a long time (I wrote a lenghty comment on the comment on dowmnload XD - silly me forgot I could say it here,instead)
here is what I said:
"Oh my,thats beutifull! This is wonderfull news!
I never thought this would ever see the light to ever be download-able,but this realy make me happy,I been looking forward to this very pretty world!!!

Even thought not completely finished,Im thrilled to try it out! I might only think the head in the ocean may creep me out,but since I haven't tested yet,we will see XD
I do truly hope those Brindies (as critters) will make an apperance and take creatures to that secret place,it sound so interessting! Even the click on head and spit fish sound cool,too!

Anyhow - I downloaded both the ganet and the additional necessery stuff,and before trying anything - I agree with Laura,a text file telling where files shall go would be nice,alltough even if some people here been installing many worlds/metaworlds before,Some things never get stuck in my mind where what should go where XD
Also people new to the installing things manualy would probably not know for sure where everything goes XD
Is looking forward to try this out soon as there is some instruction as of where things shall be placed in the right place in order to see it :3 |

Welp... I've looked at other sites and I'm not really sure I can properly explain it. I *think* what you have to do is download the world file and place it into Docking Station > Agents and then inject it from within DS. But then again there's also the matter of having to inject the world expansion cos file while can only be done through the CAOS applet.
Moral of story: It may be easier to simply wait for Ghosthande to package the corrected files or else you run the risk of following my faulty instructions

I'm confused. I downloaded the new packaged room but there are no agents or anything in it? I couldn't find a place where to download anymore agent files. The necessary agents link only has the image and cos files in it. I thought the packaged room was going to be complete with the agents that came with it? |

Not sure where you heard that... the metaroom itself is packaged separately and comes empty, ready for you to decorate with your favorite agents (eg. the Garden Box).
Currently the plan is that the agents are going to be released separately at a later date (perhaps even before the end of the week).

Silly question: With the new updated version on that page, is it still necessary to click on "Download Ainarda's Necessary Agents?" I know what to do with those files, but I just wanted to see if they were included with the updated file or not. Thanks!

The world should be fine to download all on its own now. When I tested it there weren't any issues.
I'm definitely going to try and get all the "stuff" (food, lifts, etc) ready within the next few days if not tonight. I've just got a lot of stuff going on in my offline world so it's difficult to sit down in front of coding and pick up where I left off almost two years ago :x BUT when everything is ready (again, should be very soon) then I'll make an official annoumcent.
I really regret releasing it incomplete because I think the project is very good but is suffering from a few false starts. Hopefully people won't be deterred from using it once its ready though. It's quite a dark horse and I'd love to see it finally finished!

Oh don't worry i'm not personally upset or disappointed at all. I was just a little confused but thanks for letting me know that i'm not missing anything! I thought I had messed something up but I feel much better now knowing there aren't supposed to be agents or anything with it. Thank you for telling me Ghost. Thank you, also, for releasing the room Merboy! I can't wait for the rest of the agents! The room itself is so beautiful with all of the colors that I will have fun in the mean time decorating it. I"m torn whether to use it in my main world "Nyrn" or not though, because I love the C2 world just as much. I wish there were a way to combine the two.  |

I've tried this beautiful room a bit now, and I love what you've done with it. I've got afew bugs, though. And not too minor either.
Whenever the .cos files (about 40 of them) are placed in the "Bootstrap\010 Docking Station" folder I can't create a new world, because of a series (about 40) of error reports. And while I can inject the world without these .cos files, the world is empty, without lifsts or anything. What can I do?
On the other hand, in this empty world, I've had a wee bit of success in adding plants and critters from DS and C12DS, such as flowers, bees, wasps, snotrocks, the small grey fruitlike plants from DS, birds, tools and toys, to make the world more inhabitable. And it works quite nicely (as long as I don't get other errors).
But what's the problem with the error messages?
They go as follows:

Have you tried deleting all the cos files, and using the newer ainarda_world agent provided by Ghosthande recently? Try introducing the cos files into that world one at a time.

Or, alternatively, add a new .cos file with a title of !!something.cos, with the contents:
mapd 100000 100000
That should fix the issue.

I've downloaded the files from thelanternlight.com. Put the images in the images folder, agent in the agents folder and .cos files in the "Bootstrap\010 Docking Station" folder. Now also with the !!something.cos file, containing nothing but the text "mapd 100000 100000". Still get the same errors. |

Ahh, I think I see what the issue is. You can safely delete that file!
What you need to do is make sure that the room itself is being injected before the agents; what is happening is that because alphabetically the agents are higher, they're being injected before the room itself causing placement issues.
If you have the room inject .cos (it's no longer available on the website), then rename it to !!filenamehere. You just want to make sure it's earlier than every other agent.
If you don't have that .cos file already, it's not possible to do it via your bootstrap directory. What you can do is remove all the Ainarda files from your bootstrap, start a new game, inject the empty room agent, place the .cos files in bootstrap, and then inject them using the "ject" command in the CAOS commandline.
On an unrelated note: Ghosthande/Merboy, is there any reason zzz_gamestart_login.cos is included? I can't seem to figure out what's different about it.
