I was thinking of breed ideas and got the idea to actually remake the cookie ettins. GreenReaper proposed the idea on the breed's Wiki page, but nobody actually did it.
Since there isn't very much info on the genome and appearance of the breed, here's some ideas:
-They get darker as they age
-The males are very protective of the females, but the females are very different in personality.
-Females run away from grendels, come to other ettins, and just stay around when norns come. (Is this possible???)
-Even if the offending creature is an ettin, females will immediately run away if they are hit.
-Males get a very high fertility rate when they enter youth stage.
-They remain about the same size throughout their lifetime.
-They get glycogen and aging chemical from heat CA
If you think it's a crazy idea, just ignore this... (nobody ever agress with my ideas) but i would be happy if you could help with the genome and graphics (since an eleven year old cannot do this by herself!!) |

Sounds interesting, though I'm personally wondering if some of these things are genetically possible. Can we make a breed whose males sort of dominate? I'm reminded of a herd of horses or a pride of lions, or, to a lesser extent, a pack of wolves. I think one of our resident geneticists here said that the game's coding just doesn't allow a real 'herd'- or 'alpha'-type mechanism...
I'm not an expert whatsoever, though (heck, it takes me a few tries to decode Gene Compare files) so I can't really help.
Don't care; I'm a bear. |

Usually stuff like that needs to be at least semi-scripted. |

Well if that doesn't work, than maybe the males could be really shy until youth and than they act like hardmans?? |
