| Editing "rooms" in metarooms? | |

Is it possible to edit the rooms in existing metarooms? An example being the Oasis metaroom. It's got a lot of space above the land/water areas that could be used using the Magic Words and Garden Box, except the rooms extend from the surface to the ceiling so there are no rooms to change into walkways or soil. I can just imagine floating islands and walkways kind of like the islands that are already there. It would allow enough living spaces to actually keep creatures in there with elevines to connect the various levels. Or even flying creatures.

Yes. It's kind of a butt to do yourself, by hand, but it is still totally possible. For example, the warp cage monster in Docking Station changes its room properties/shape when the door is opened or closed.

Would it be easier to do it via the blk file outside the game?
There are other metarooms I'd like to change to. In the Ettin Desert on the top left, the "rooms don't line up so if you magic words the room to a walkway to extend that top level then the creatures can't come back to the right only off the edge to the left. Or in the norn meso also on the top level over the empathic vendor.

Nope, the BLK is just the image of the background. The room coordinates and dimensions are defined using CAOS commands.

This is why I've never fully made my own metarooms. Despite all the tutorials, it's never clear.
Thanx for trying to help Ghosthande!
