I'm kind of confused, how does this tell us anything we hadn't already figured out?
The three previous works are included
C1, C2 and C3? C1, C2 and C3DS? Will mods work in any of the old games?
wallet pre-filled with Golden Eggs
We already knew that.
limited edition figurine
See above.
lexclusive genome so you can start the game with a unique Norn
Asks more questions than it answers. Does this mean each copy of the Collectors Edition has a randomized norn genome? Does the Collectors Edition come with the C4 version of a CFE norn? |

C1, C2, and C3 are confirmed by their use in the history lessons. DS was designed to hook people into the series, and then buy the mall breeds and C3. In design it's a reverse add-on for C3. I'm hesitant to say if Bigben will release a DS version as it would mean also hosting a DS server or if Gameware is going to release a new DS server and a compatible upgraded DS to go with the new C3's. I've actually wondered if the upgraded versions of the games are actually being done by Gameware exclusively, or else Fishing Cactus, or, worse yet, some other Bigben contracted company, is doing it. It would have to be done by the time C4 is released so the CE box can have the maximum effect. FC would be focused on C4 so it shouldn't be them, and Bb would blow it. So GW doing it makes sense, also they have the most experience with the code (of the available choices). By not mentioning that they are doing it GW can avoid all the questions about what new features might be designed into it. Or things that need fixing and general flak or impatience.
Think of the exclusive genome as a mall breed. From everything I've read C4 is focusing more on genomes than on specific breeds, sort of like genetic breeds. This little bit of information does create more questions than it answers because we had no questions because we didn't know it was to be included.

I don't understand why you feel that 3rd-party add-ons wouldn't work in the redone versions, sam999. I'm assuming that the only "new" part about them is that they function on the latest versions of Windows and Mac OS X. Hence everything else about them is probably the same.
And I think just knowing that there's an exclusive genome in the collectible pack should be enough information. I think everything else you're wondering won't be answered until the game is released.

I'm so getting me some of this Collector's Edition action, if only for the limited edition figurine, and the pre-filled wallet of Golden Eggs; in that sense Creatures 4 pays for itself? |

Thanks for sharing them, Dr.Shee! And thanks for posting them in the gallery, Laura! It was really great to see all the photos. It makes C4 seem somehow more legitimate and like it's really coming in the near future.
