My TCR Norns   Lodestar Doringo     10/4/2012 I'm suprised that most of my questions came up on this, The threads for them are at the last pages and I'm glad that they are looking at the entire forum rather than just the top posts.   mip     10/5/2012 I read through the Q&A yesterday and I'm glad to see that Fishing Cactus are in this for the long haul. It looks like the initial release will be the basic game and format (simple and fun like Creatures 1) but the developers will continue to add improvements and features over time. I actually really like this way of building the game. It means that we get to play and enjoy the base game from an early stage and the community's ideas and opinions can help to shape the game's progression from there. It should mean we will often have something to look forward to when we play! While they said they won't include the splicer on release, I hope this can become a future feature when grendels and ettins are introduced. It makes a fair bit of sense why it won't be included in the base game because they want to encourage us to look after and breed the norns rather than shortcut the process by splicing... but I would like the ability to make cross-species oddities in the future.
