Strangeo Forum I want to make my own MMORPG    lisha777      9/20/2012 I have always wanted to make my own MMORPG! I have wanted to make my own for years! I have had lots and lots of ideas through the years... But I like games where you have to survive and live, sort of like creatures, the game I have wanted to make for a while is a dragon one, one where you start of as a hatchling dragon and grow into a big Adult dragon where you can fly free! When you start of as a hatchling you can jump, then when you grow a bit older you can double jump and glide, then when you grow one more time you will be able to fly! You will hatch... I was thinking you would hatch in a cave but then I suddenley renembered I would need a tutorial at the start of the game xD So maybe players would hatch on some kind of island and then go through a tutorial teaching players how to play the game. I have SOOO many more ideas it would take all day to right them all here xD There will be differant islands and places to explore... The map will be HUGE... And another part of the game will be to try and survive. You will have to hunt other animals for food I guess xD Oh, and maybe at the start you get to choose what type of dragon you want to be! The types will be... Fire dragon: Can make fires easy with its fire breath and doesnt get hurt that much bye fire and lava. Water Dragon: Can make things grow fast, and can hold its breath longer than other dragons. Earth Dragon: Is a little bit smaller than other dragons and loves nature, can make things grow very quickley. Electricity Dragon: Can zap its enimeys with lighting, and... Um not sure what else... Suggestions? Thats the types of dragons I want to make I know its hard to make an MMORPG, and its likey I will be making it on my own xD It will take years but im sure I will make one someday. Well im going to go make a map of the world now in real life... Oh, and before I go here is the other games I have though of making over the years: Animal game (You can be a cat or dog and explore and stuff) Rat and/or mouse game (Where you get to be a rat or mouse and explore a huge world and not get eaten or by cats and not get trapped by people. much more to it than that though) There might have been others but I dont really remember xD Ok talk to you all soon! ‘All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.’ – Gandalf the Grey   Prodigal Sock Ghosthande     9/20/2012 If you ever make the mouse/rat one I'd love to play it, it sounds like a really fun idea.   lisha777   9/20/2012 Thanks With the mouse/Rat one you would be able to run around the world and make your own home somewhere, you could make it in a house by chewing through the wall or make it outside by digging or something And you could maybe craft or make your own furniture. If you learn its coding language you could create a HUD; an object that you could use to tell the story of your RPG. I say this because there is a group on there called Grendel's Creatures that has an avatar that is a rat that has an optional Lifecycle HUD to allow people to actual live as a rat in game. The also offer the only creatures related product for second life that I've found, a Grendel Avatar.   lisha777   9/22/2012 Oh ok, Im still a bit to yough to play second life, but i will be able to play it soon though, so on it you can change into a rat? Anyone at least 16 years of age can join but unless you are verified as an adult you can not enter adult or mature areas.
