An all-new section has just opened here at Creatures Caves. It's called "resources" and you can find a link to it in the Community section. Resource articles fall under three categories: Games, Development and Website. So far the three CAOS Chaos articles have been posted and are filed under Development. Soon the Website section will be filled with help on using Creatures Caves, and the Games section will contain articles to help people use games from the Creatures series.
Anyone may post new articles, so feel free to make an 'official' article for that project you're currently working on, or post a step-by-step guide that you may have written. You may also comment on articles and suggest updates to be made for them. Authors will have the ability to edit/update their own articles, and each article has a "last updated" date at the top. Also, there will be a "change log" for each article whereby everyone can see when an article was updated, who updated it and what changes were made.

Looks great! I've posted the Gameware downloads trick onto the first CAOS Chaos, the one where it tells you to download all the tools.

Very happy about this feature, thanks Rascii! It'll become invaluable and get everyone working together, which is awesome. I can't wait to see the section fill up and what articles will be added! ![[ngrin] [ngrin]](/images/smilies/emot_grin.gif) |

Awesome, Rascii! I'm sure this will be a very useful place for new and old players alike. Great way to bring together lots of great Creatures information from everyone!

Is it possible to place tables in these articles? It would be very useful to be able to do so, since a lot of these types of things use them. |

I hadn't considered allowing tables in posts before. I can add them to the command tags though.
Update: Done.

Does anyone think that a Resources Image Gallery would be useful? I noticed Malkin's latest resource article didn't have any pictures. And though I haven't talked to her yet, I'm assuming it's because she couldn't upload them with the article.
Basically I'm picturing it as just being a place where people can upload pictures for their resources articles and then insert them using image tags. Thoughts?

If you look at Monk, there's not a lot to it, so much so that it can be intimidating, in a way, if you're used to command line intricacies.
While in the first iteration of the tutorial I had many pictures with coloured arrows going everywhere, I now figure... well, hopefully people will realise that agenteering can be that simple, and I'm trusting in the prose to help people through it. I'm also trusting the people to speak up if it's unclear - I know norngirl helped me with a Windows caution that I wouldn't have had any idea about otherwise.
In the past, I have absolutely used the gallery to post up tutorialish screenshots, or screenshots where I've needed help - there's one for 'finding catalogue files on a mac', and one for 'what on earth is this friend or foe nonsense', and another for 'how do I CA link C12DS?' that I can remember...
