After several months of effort, Amaikokonut has released the Garden Box!
The Garden Box is an agent injector system for Docking Station. Partially inspired by The Biodome, the Garden Box allows for easy injection of plants, animals and decorations, so that you can easily customise rooms, both decoratively and ecologically.
Special features of the Garden Box include the ability to create 'patch plants' - where you draw a box on the wall for plants such as apples or chili peppers, and they grow inside the box you defined.
Another special feature is the decorations function - which injects scenery objects, such as a dormant volcano or the shee statue from C2 into the background, allowing you to make your world prettier.
The Garden Box is available at the new Garden Box Central forum!

Likewise I think this is one of the best agents to have been made for the series...however I can't get it to work.
Followed the guide, downloaded the Garden Box and a load of patch plants. Clicked to inject drew my green box and then nothing! No dialogue box or confirmation, and the Garden Box wont inject any new agents then either.
Hopefully I am just being an idiot, so can anyone help? |

What's your setup like? I had the same issue in the testing phase, but moving my catalogue files to the correct folder fixed it for me.

Setup in what regards. I put all the agents in the My Agents folder for DS and injected.
Were there more instructions somewhere that I have missed? |

I mean, your computer setup - your OS and if you're running Exodus. Some of the newer editions of Creatures install catalogue files in an odd place, and the Garden Box needs the catalogue files to be in the correct place.
Because I run Creatures Exodus on my Mac, I look in my
~/Library/Preferences/Creatures Labs/Docking Station/data/Catalogue folder for new catalogues, and move them to
Hard Drive/Applications/Docking Station/Contents/MacOS/data/Catalogue.
If you're on a PC, you'll want to look in My Documents for an analogous Catalogue folder, and move it to something like C Program Files (x86)\Gameware Development\Creatures Exodus\Docking Station\Catalogue.
Amaikokonut discusses it in more length here on the GBC - hope this helps!

There is little more I can say except, "Amazing!" The patch plants are seriously awesome. Any area can now support a population! Thanks so much for this project, Amaikokonut! This is a revolutionary new idea to customize C3/DS and make food sources very reliable!

The garden box is awesome!
I love the patch plants, because I can put food sources anywhere, and have a crazy amount of control. I hate when random seeds end up growing in the wrong place or bunching up in corners, but now the plants do what I say. Hehe
The decorations are also fun, especially when combined with the magic words room edits. |

It's a way to conveniently put plants, animals, foodstuffs and decorations exactly where you want.

EDIT: I figured it out! This had to do with some old .c16 image files that weren't overwritten. Hurray! Now back to my usual cheery self... Complete with working Garden Box!
I must be losing my mind. I have the typical catalogue issue where I have to manually move catalogue files around to get most agents to work. For some strange reason, I can't get the deco mode to work for the Garden Box at all! The patch plants work perfectly, but injecting a decoration puts it in one, doesn't open deco mode, and makes the Garden Box completely nonfunctional. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement... I've gone through my agents, .cos files, and catalogue files with no success. I think I'm just blind.
The wolfing controls still aren't working in any new worlds I create, which is beginning to worry me. They only show up in one old world which I would delete, but have to keep around just so I can load it and start up autokill again.
Sorry for the rant and rave! I hate being frustrated, and I just want to decorate my world! I shall now go sulk in a corner and hush up until someone comes to my rescue. Ha ha! Thanks!
