I have an object that I want to throw at a wall / ceiling / floor and have it stop at the point of impact. Yeah, I know. But it's an alien spaceship, right? So it *could* be possible!
I gave it ATTR of 64 (collisions) and a PERM of 60, put the whole "throw" sequence (and therefore, I assume, the collision script as well) in an INST, and in the collision script set VELO 0 0.
It bounces.
I can throw it slowly, for less bounce, but I need it to be fast. Is there any way to make it NOT bounce? Do I have to give it physics in order to tell it NOT to have physics?

Make sure it has an ELAS of 0 and has physics. (Put all other properties like ACCG and AERO to 0 or something to make it act like a physics-less object if that's needed) and it should stop dead in it's tracks as soon as it hits something.

That did it, thanks! So I guess you DO have to give an object physics in order to make it not have physics.
