Since C3/DS norns never seem to stop eating until there is nothing edible around them, I was wondering if this might help:
1) Create "sated" chemicals for starch, protein and fat.
2) Change the eating stimulus genes so that instead of decreasing hunger directly, they produce the appropriate sated chemicals.
3) Have sated react away the corresponding hunger.
4) If there is no hunger, have sated decay into "fullness", an new drive which encourages creatures to stop eating.
5) Once fullness reaches a certain level, have an emitter start producing a little pain to simulate a stomach ache.
I think that, if possible, changing the emitters for hunger drives to turn off if a norn doesn't need the corresponding nutrient would help, because my brief survey of the norn genome makes it look like this isn't the case.
Live GMS is kind of clunky to use, and I don't think I can make the corresponding brain changes necessary to make this work using it.Adding a "switch" in the creatures' brains that tells them not to eat when they're full might be necessary. |
