I keep running into agents I can't decompile with Revelation. It will spit out a list of filenames/directories, and then say "unable to read agent file." I'm convinced there's probably a simple solution to this, but so far I haven't discovered it.
One of the ones I've had problems with is DAE pots.agents...I just wanted to tweak the perm settings a little so I can put the pots on walkways, and maybe learn some more CAOS stuff while I'm there.
Any hints on how to get it to work?

For the Justanut Bush, I think the problem might be that several objects are compiled in the one .agent file - I use Jagent, because it's just a case of dragging and dropping, and it was updated for the CCSF 2009 to handle multiple agents.

I've found that agents compiled by the PRAY Builder are fine, but agents compiled by the engine's built-in compiler (used especially for C3 agents back in the day) don't decompile nicely.
I don't know if the number of agents compiled into a single agent affects the decompile, as I've been able to decompile whole metarooms before. It might depend on what was used to compile it. Whether that be C3's built-in compiler, Jagent, or easyPray/Praybuilder. And that, in combination with the number of agents compiled into one file, might affect the file structure and it's chances of being decompile-able. Or maybe even the number of dependencies (images, sounds, etc)?
Might be worth some experimenting for those with the time. |

Sweet! Jagent is SO much nicer than dealing with DOS and batch files. Thanks!
