Great news and good work, Rascii! I see a message in my inbox stating that "All messages from the old system will be deleted on April 30." I assume this includes "saved" messages in addition to those just sitting around in the inbox? Or will they be preserved?  |

It will include saved messages unfortunately. Please save any messages that you need to your harddrive. The new system will not allow saved messages. - Rascii |

 We now have a brand new messaging system here at Creatures Caves. You now start "conversations" with other users which have all of the replies together as an on-going thread. This makes it much easier to keep track of conversations that you may be having.The "old" messages from the previous message system are available to view in an archive. You will find a link there from the new messages page. All old messages will be deleted on April 30th, so please save any important ones to your computer. - Rascii |

Awesome! Maybe I'm blind, but how do we access our old messages? My current inbox is completely empty and silly me can't find the link to view the old ones as an archive. I also had an outgoing message to you, Rascii... Not sure if you saw it or not. Thanks for this great new feature: Messaging should now be a lot easier to keep track of! EDIT: Never mind! Looks like I can access the old messages via a link in my inbox once I send a message in the new system. |

Ah, so you want to click a link on the forum index that takes you not only to the page containing the latest unread reply, but also scrolls down for you to that reply? I think that's a good idea. Thanks for the input! - Rascii |

Regarding the old message system: I'm going to be deleting the messages from the old system soon. If anyone would like me to export their old messages into an Excel spreadsheet and e-mail it to them, please send me a PM with your e-mail address. Please note: It will only contain user IDs and no usernames, so it will be difficult for you to actually distinguish between messages without looking up user IDs. I'll probably delete them at the end of next week. I think there's been plenty of notice. - Rascii |

Old messages have been deleted. All of the messages sent or received form the 'old' system have now been deleted. I initially notified everyone that they would be deleted on April 30th, so I think an extra two months was plenty of time for everyone to plan accordingly. I have e-mailed the users who requested Excel spreadsheet backups today. - Rascii |

Favoriting/Unfavoriting has been fixed. You may now add/remove users from your favorites list. I thought there was a more recent 'website updates' thread but couldn't find it, so I've resurrected this one. - Rascii |
