I'm trying to design a fourth creature to go along with Norns, Geats, and Valkyries for core, and though i've got a rough idea what i want i'm having trouble pulling the design together. Would any of you guys do me the honour of tossing some ideas or maybe even a sketch my way? Here's what i'm thinking of it so far. The fourth creature is tiny compared to the other three, around waist height, chubby with short limbs (even for its size). The eyes are smaller, perhaps all-black rodentish eyes, and the look of the thing should be like a bipedal possum or bilby, something marsupialish about it. It shouldn't have a lot of fur if any, maybe a tuft on the tail tip, but i'd like it to have whiskers. The face should be thinner and pointier, less human than the norn face. A Bilby creature would be adorable. Kind of like a Doozer-Hoppity cross? The markings on the face are cute, but maybe they could look a bit like tribal markings instead of just being fur patterns? Actually, what kind of environment are they going to live in? It would be kind of cute to match the theme. Eg. if they're going to be Bilby-like and live in the desert, maybe their markings could have a subtle Egyptian theme. I seem to remember some old concept art on Creatures Labs that posed an interesting "proto-Norn" that was more critter-ish. Maybe that would make a neat basis. [edit] I made a quick sketch of what I was thinking of. I think it turned out a bit too feline, and not very stocky. But I've also included that concept art from CL I mentioned. Maybe it will give you a few ideas.  |

Oh man, i'd been looking for those pictures, i couldn't get them off the site for some reason. I had that little guy in mind when designing this one. I love your design! It's not what i'm going for at the moment but i'd love to make a creature like that some time. |
