I had thought that nothing actually used 'deactivate', but apparently 'deactivate' on the musicola is what makes the high hats work.
Has anyone else seen the deactivate action used elsewhere?

I don't think my Norns normally even try to deactivate things. 'Tis why Gaius uses the 'deactivated machine' stim when he eats gadgets. He'd probably turn into a bit of an energy vampire if he ever bothered trying to deactivate machinery, but he doesn't. 
To be honest I didn't even know if it was a functional option in DS. I remember my C3 Norns would sometimes deactivate things, but my DS ones haven't. In all the years I've played I've never (knowingly) seen one try. Except, now, for the musicola. Hmm.
