Development Forum Opening For Use with CCSF 2011    Chaotic Spriter mea     7/18/2011 I'd like to welcome you to Caos of the Creatures Realm. It's a blog dedicated to providing sprites to coders who are in need of sprites for their projects. I'm posting about the blog now in the hope that it will be of use to coders who want to make stuff for the upcoming CCSF 2011. If you are a beginner looking for sprites to practice with, or if you are an experienced coder looking for a new project, or looking for sprites to fit one of your current projects, please feel free to use the sprites I have posted on the blog. If you are an artist and you have sprites that you want to see used in the Creatures games, send me a PM and I will post them up on the blog so coders can find and use them. (Please only send sprites that you have made yourself, no copyrighted sprites/images from other games, or anything like that). I am hoping that this blog will help with allowing more things to be made for the CCSF, so feel free to use the sprites for your projects and lets see how many finished projects we can submit to the CCSF 2011! Feel free to post ideas of what type of sprites you would like to see so I can use those suggestions for ideas of what sprites to make next.   Tea Queen Laura     7/19/2011 With the CCSF theme this year being 'New Faces: new users, creators starting small, and perhaps a new game to boot' I think this blog will be an excellent resource! I do hope people will take advantage of it; it would be great to see new developers and creations in amongst the submissions.   Chaotic Spriter mea     7/23/2011 Hmmm..... would a room designed specifically for IQ testing creatures be of interest to anyone? If so, what features should that room or series of rooms have? If there is interest in a room like that I can make the sprites & post them on the blog so someone can make the room.   Malkin Manager     7/23/2011 I love your art style - it's so colourful and warm! I have fun coming up with those stories & I definitely have fun making the sprites. I like making things colorful & I really like seeing what color variations I can come up with.   AquaShee   7/25/2011 Ooh, I love these sprites! they're lovely and colourful. One little suggestions though: you should put the images in easy .zip packages for people to download. Preferably in .bmp format so they can be easily put into sprite files for the games. Right now I have to right-click, copy the image, paste it in photoshop, save it as .bmp and open it again in the sprite editor. If a certain fishy someone was planning to bring the plants from "A garden full of colour..." to life, he'd have to do this 84 times! The Community Scribble: make (y)our own metaroom!   Chaotic Spriter mea     7/25/2011 The resaving as .bmp won't be a problem, putting the files in a .zip package won't be a problem either, but at the moment where to upload the zip file to & posting the .zip packages on the blog are things I'm not sure how to do yet. If you want to send me a message with which ones you wanted, I could resave, package them up & send them to you that way.   silvak     7/25/2011 You could use a file hosting site, like megaupload, firefox, or (my favorite) box.net So you can use the jpeg files for site, they are usually smaller. And have the bmp files in a zip uploaded elsewhere but with a link on the blog? www.CrazyShee.com - Updated: Daily! Adds a bit of inspiration for anyone considering using them. I'm still far from coding a COB/agent of my own, but I do believe I know where I'll be going if I'm having any issues with sprites! Some suggestions may be beyond my current skill level, or may be something that I have no interest in at all, so while I can't guarantee I will make the sprites, I'm usually willing to try.   Malkin Manager     11/21/2011 Thanks mea!
