Well, it's not really a metaroom yet....I just have some sprites.
Currently you can see the cupcake mushrooms, which will be generated in patches from a dispenser, the candied apple for the candied apple tree, the chocolate coin for the gold vein, and the rock candy stalactites, which will grow near the gold vein, the gum drops which will rain from the sparkly cotton candy clouds, the cocoa pod sprites which will fall form a tree and produce truffles (not unlike the pumperspikel) along with a norn, an apple, and a carrot for scale.

Promise to update as much as I can. ^_^
Oh and I almost forgot. I know NOTHING about adding images to a sprite file or coding or anything besides making the images themselves. So I'm going to be asking for help eventually. Think about whether or not you'd be interested in doing the sprite files/caos/etc.

Those cupcakes look good enough to eat! I like the idea of them growing in patches; lucky Norns. |

Mmm... I started a candyland metaroom once, but gave up on it. Try some cotton candy bushes!

@Malkin: Not quite yet. I'm more interested in gathering sprites for the agents.
@CuteIzzy21: I already plan on cotton candy clouds that rain gumdrops XD

But everything needs to be actually edible to creatures!
(Maybe except of essential stuff like doors...)
Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

@Papriko: I already see the topic "Help my norns are falling to death cause they ate metaroom floor"
And why not edible doors, after beiing eaten they'd disappear and than, some time later, regrow, What about making norns there edible too? |

But the Norns aren't made of candy. 0_o I think that would probably tick people off.

Ages ago I had an idea for "icecream norns." Not edible, more just a breed with chocolate-brown fur, and hair and tail styles that looked like those swirl-cones soft-serve icecream. I think I might have a photoshop artwork somewhere so I'll try to find and upload it. |

I've been considering making a breed to go with the room. It'd be cute, with cotton candy hair and sprinkles and such. I'm not giving any guarantee at all though.
Edit: I need help with something.
I was going to have marshmallow cattails in the metaroom. Unfortunately, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find a usable picture of cattails. So I'm giving up on the though. However, I still feel like I need to use marshmallows for SOMETHING. So if you have any ideas, please post them here!

Oh, I don't know... Marshmallow rocks beside a chocolate milk pond?
Or what about little bushes made of the marshmallow /stick combination that people stereotypically eat on camps? Unless that's what a marshmallow cattail is.
Marshmallows wouldn't make bad snow, either. |

I know NOTHING about adding images to a sprite file or coding or anything besides making the images themselves.
Adding images to a sprite is quite simple usinf SpriteBuilder: you only need to klick replace and maybe but the picture upside down bevore that but not allways. And coding... I don't think it's much more complicated to code a metaroom than to code a complicated agent, which is very comlycated and sometimes anoying. There is a tool for making metarooms, but I don't know how much it does (aka how much you have to code yourself). |

What is this tool for making metaroms? And I can never really seem to wrap my head around coding.

Really, you don't "code" a metaroom in C3/DS the way people had to code worlds in C2. The Map Editor is a very nice tool that handles all the coding for the metaroom itself. You just "draw" rectangles where you want the floors/walls/ceilings to be and tell the program what kind of rooms they are, and it compiles all the code for you.
The only part of the metaroom itself that the Map Editor doesn't handle is the world-expansion part, but you just copy and paste it at the beginning of the file once you're finished mapping the metaroom; no need to edit it or anything.
Assuming you have Windows (which the program requires), the only thing you need to code are the favorite place icon, emitters (both of which are very simple), doors/teleporters, lifts, plants, critters, etc.
There are some good tutorials on the subject here and here.

Ok, bad news. The truffles and cocoa beans are gone. Somehow they didn't get saved. I can't salvage them from the bmp because of the water mark, so I'm going to have to remake them entirely.
Nvmnd, I found them. When I created the candyland folder for the pic somehow an old version wound up in my main images folder. Care to join me a big sigh of relief? XP
