When I downloaded my Autumn norns they came with an ENV file!Where does that go? Since I didn't (and still don't) know where it goes I just put the eggs in the agents folder but they don't show up in Muco or the norn terrarium egg layer.
Also nobody seems to be helping me with this so I'll start it here sorta like a double question thing
I know how to adopt norns from this site and where to put the creatures files so I can get them but I don't know where to find my exported norns in the folder
1. I have Exodus
2. NO the norns are not in my documents folder I checked that
3. The main files of DS and CE are in my PROGRAM files folder!
4. I have windows vista
Ok that's what you need to know to help me!
Thanks ,
Sofie

Strange... An ENV file is a Petz playpen file (Living Room, Backyard etc.). Where did you download that file?

Playpen files are for the Petz 3, Petz 4 and Petz 5 games. You can try to place the file in one of these games. But the files are for only one version, so Petz 4 playpens won't work in Petz 5.

When I went to download the Autmn Norns on Grendel Warehouse, I found no ENV file in the download. Only an egg agent, and 2 notepads.

Maybe it got mixed in from some other source by mistake.
Or multiple programs might use different kinds of files that nevertheless have the same extension, although it's rare (I have had Windows attribute strange file names to .PET and other file types, showing that it recognizes them as something else). Although I guess the only way to really test it would be to plug it into a Petz game and see if it can read it or not.

Haha, I've seen this myself - some GIS programs consider C1 norns to be 'expressions' which are commands for computer maps.

A few quesstions:
What is the full name of the .env file?
Which program do you use to unpack the download?
There are many other programs that use .env files, they seem to be a common extension to save work environments in. It's possible that some program does something when you unpack a file that causes a .env file to be created.

The extract program thats on the top of the window (built in with windows)

Edit: Ok I fixed it XD you have to inject the norn lol
