Help Forum How to take screenshots?    EmergencyTowel      12/21/2009 I want to do a wolfing run in march. The thing is,I can't find any decent free screen capture software,and I an't buy any because I'm broke. Is there anything else that might be helpful? In my nerd cave, nobody can hear you scream. If you want to take multiple screens in a row, save them in Word. and copy them into paint for individual editing later. I know Laura uses Printscreen for her wolfling run pics, and they are fab. Then I copy/paste it into MS Paint, like AS suggested, and select the images I want out of it, using the 'Select' tool. Then I just copy/paste those images into a second MS Paint window and save.   EmergencyTowel   12/21/2009 My prntscr just doesnt do anything. To get the images on the internet, you have to upload them somwhere (like Imageshack) and then link to the using the CC.com commands. I don't know where I can find the image once I've pressed printscreen.   AquaShee   12/21/2009 Once you press printscreen, the image is on your clipboard. When you prest CTRL+V in Paint it will them be pasted from the clipboard into Paint. Some like copying and pasting text. Don't they teach you guys about computers in school anymore? I have to hit fn + prt sc since the print screen key also doubles as the insert key. Confused the heck out of me when I first got this computer.   AquaShee   12/21/2009 Ahyes, I have to hit that combo too to take screenies. I remember working at the Helpdesk, getting the user to take a screenshot was hell if they had a laptop. They knew how screenies are supposed to be taken of course, but on a laptop it's always different. I always have to open a xteminal and use Scrot... On the other does it directly save the Screeny as picture. I even can predifine path, anme and even format. Maybe I should put Scrot on the Print Button by myself... Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...
