I was wanting to install C2 back on my laptop. But it can,t read the CD.
When the CD is inside my laptop, my CD drive is making some very strange sounds.
The CD works fine on other PC,s.
It,s a windows XP.

its the cd drive. The best I can do is tell you to take it to a shop.

It's important to think logically and work out the most likely scenario. There are two major ways error could creep in to the process of playing a CD on your computer.
CDs are not permanent. If your C2 CD doesn't work in other computers, it could be the CD's fault. Try cleaning it or repairing it. As we have determined that your C2 CD works (does it install?) on other computers, we must test the second hypothesis.
CD drives are delicate creatures. If your CD drive has issues with all CDs, or if your CD drive has had a "bump", it could be that the CD drive no longer works. Please test this.
The third factor is, as always human error... But we know you don't think your CD drive is a cup holder.
By-the-by, a lot of modern CD drives are also DVD drives - does your computer manual say it's a CD drive and a DVD drive?

Have you tried manually making it start up using the Run menu? My XP had similar problems--it could play the CD, it just wouldn't autoplay it for some reason, so I always had to start the game manually.

Three options:
1. Find a no-cd crack
2.download a c2 iso
3.get a mate's c2 cd, copy the files, place in a .rar, change .rar to iso and mount with alchohol 120% or daemon tools.
Any questions concerning option 3 feel free to PM, or chat on DS.

If you copy the files to the hard drive you should be able to install it from there.
