I have a new laptop and I installed Creatures 3 and I forgot how to install agents. Can somebody tell me how? Please give me accurate step by step by step instructions. I have a hp Windows Vista Laptop if that helps. Also does anyone know what you have to download to be able to play Docking Station without having to register a username and password?  |

To install agents just copy and paste them into the agents folder. If your using exodus the folder is probobly in My documents/creatures. If not its in program files. My site: http://toxicnorn.webs.com/ |

I don't have an agents folder though. Do I have to make it myself? What do I name it? I'm using Exodus. |

Don't know the path on Vista, but on older Windows versions was it usually something like C ![:\](/images/smilies/confused.gif ":\") Program Files\#####\My Agents##### you replace with the game's name. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

Look in my documents. you should see a folder called creatures. Open it, then open the exodus folder in it. if there is a folder called "My Agents" if its there, use that. if its not, go to program files. then gameware development, then creatures exodus, then creatures three, then my agents. the second option is usually the most successful. I don't think I have programs files section if I do It's hidden somewhere in my computer. |

First go to my computer. Then go to the drive that creatures is installed on, most likely the C drive. there is quite a few folders. click on the one that says program files. ignore the thing that says these files are hiden and continue. now do what i said on my last post. Yes I found the program files! I found Creatures 3 and the My Agent files thankyou so much! I also have another question does WinZip come with your Windows Vista computer or do you have to download it? |

Vista doesn't come with WinZip, but you shouldn't need to download any program in order to unzip files, at least you definitely don't if they're regular .zip files. It's only .rar files that you need a special program for. Just right-click on the zipped file, and a menu will come up. The third option will be "Extract All". Click that and a window will come up. Click the "Extract" button at the bottom and it will create a folder with the unzipped files inside it.  |

I download the Butterfly Norns from Amanora's Creatures but when I try to put it into the My Agents folder it says " (WinZip) Error: Access denied Cannot Create C Program Files (x86)\Gameware Development\Creatures Exodus\Creatures 3\My AgentsAdministrative privileges may be required. |

Oh, Vista's just being a butt on you. I get that error with various programs; essentially Vista doesn't "trust" WinZip and thinks it's trying to do something bad to your computer. It's paranoid like that. Try unzipping the .agent file to somewhere else, like your Desktop or your My Documents folder, and then moving it to the My Agents folder afterward (using, say, Windows Explorer). That's usually what I have to do. |
