I need help, I just got Docking Station, and I've been trying to download a couple of metarooms. One said to add to agents section, I assumed to add them all to the agents section, and unfortunately, when I play the game, they don't show up on the game at all. Any way somebody could help me? Also, um, in my last Docking Station game, I put the files in the 'worlds' section or something like that. If anyone has any ideas, I will try them, and I thank you. beep |

Hey, long time no see.  For installing metarooms, you should unzip the file, and add the .agent file to My Agents. Sometimes metarooms don't come compiled as agents - which metarooms are you trying to install? The "My Worlds" folder is to keep together files from various worlds you've started - typically you don't put anything in there. My TCR Norns |

I did unzip the files, all of them. The garbage dump, zaharo, seaweed's taverm. None work. Anyways, it's been what, a couple of years since I've been on this site and a couple of years since I've used Docking Station. beep |

Zaharo and Seaweed Tavern I don't have, but for Garbage Dump you need a bunch of other files. They are all in the main zip together with the room's agent file, but they need to be placed in the right folders. For example must the toxic.mng be found in the DS sound folder. Lets play plants! I did all that the read me instructed me to do. I also tried downloading breeds from Gameware, but sadly, after downloading, they didn't work, it said it's self installing so I don't have to put it in a file, am I doing something wrong? beep |

Is your DS installed on the C drive? Are you using the little arrows at the bottom of the injector screen to scroll between your agents? Zaharo simply becomes zaharo.agents - putting it in My Agents should make it show up right at the very bottom of your agent list. The Garbage Dump is a little more complex to install - Garbage Dump DS.agents goes into My Agents, and toxic.mng goes into the Sounds folder. Yes it's installed on the C drive. I'll try the arrows. And yes I did what needs to be done with garbage dump, sound file in sound area, agents file in the agents folder. EDIT: Oh and I only have 3 agents on my original agents page EDIT 2: I've tried clicking the arrows, the arrows don't work, nothing, only the 3 original agents, hover doc, autonamer, and rubber bouncy balls. beep |

I can inject normal agents, I have like 50 rubber bouncy balls around the place. Though I downloaded the Trash plant or is it trasher, and also it is the same site the norn garden series is from. Not really, but whenever I try to play, it says the update server is unavailable or I'm not connected to the internet, I'm sure it's the update server thingy. I'm kinda confused to be honest. EDIT: Also, I noticed that this has become basic trial and error. beep |

Trial and error got humanity where it is today!  So, you put the trasher plant agent in My Agents (with the rubber bouncy balls etc.) and you go to inject it, what message do you get? The server has been down for some time, but it is up at the moment - if you used MNB's offline world maker or the C12DS play offline function, that world won't be able to connect to the server. EXACTLY! 90% of Science is trial and error, in coincidence, most of my norns have died in the name of science! There is no name for the agent, no agents appear except the ones i've started with. Attempting to update my game........ Large error message, error 12007, 'either you are offline, or the update server is down, so Docking Station couldn't check for an automatic update Please start game while connected to the internet to check for updates World cannot be created while you aren't connected to the internet, existing worlds can be played while offline.' Sometimes you need to swap windows in the room (go and look at your online contacts, then go back and look at your agent list) in order for newly installed agents to come up on the screen in order to inject them. Where did you download Docking Station from? I hear tell that on some big download sites they're still offering an old version - the version number should be 195. My TCR Norns |

To find out what version it is, go to the My Worlds folder, open the Journal folder, and you should find a small text file called build. My TCR Norns |

Went to my world, there's a read me, no journal folder. Oh, journal folder is in a seperate section. Opened it, no text, nothing beep |

There's a button on your keyboard called something like PrntScrn (an abbreviation of Print Screen) - when you're looking at the problem, push it, and then open Paint and do a paste. Save it and upload it to ImageShack and then post the link to the image here. My TCR Norns |

OK, wait, I don't think my computer has paint, my family must have deleted it long ago. I've checked all folders. My screen shows these agents: Rubber bouncy ball, autonamer, and hover doc. Nothing else, no arrows pushable. beep |

NO PAINT??? Paint is included in Windows! In the worst case you can download any other graphic program (people who know me, also know what now comes XD). I like The Gimp very much. Oh, bad news, the thing gave me no instructions on how to use it, and when trying to use it, my computer from up, couldn't turn it off by pressing the power button, and I had to turn off the power strip next to my comp. It said installation failed, but it work(ed)s. beep |

Mac or windows. If you dont know,macs usually have white or gray towers/monitors that usually have an apple on them. Windows,well their symbol is four squares arranged in a square. The linux symbol is a penguin. In my nerd cave, nobody can hear you scream. Feed my pets: Shroomy and Glow! |

Other logos are The Debian Spiral, the semi-abstract Ubuntu thing or OpenSUSE's chameleon. With "a penguin" you probably mean Tux. Mac is usually the only OS which has it's logo on the screen/PC itself. At last you can also install another OS or even install more than one on a single PC. My dad for example has both, Xubuntu and Win2000 on his PC. Just wanted to make that clear. Back on topic. Maybe you can use Windows update or something like that to bring Paint back on your machine? Agent Rock, I've known the brands forever, I have a pc, windows XP, and I never knew Linux had a penguin. I love penguins and chameleons, so cute! LOL at the grey sentence. I'm just confused, and I have a feeling in the end I will have had to spend money. Also, I've already typed the error page it gave me, directly copying the text from the error box, it gave me error 12007 and said I cannot use the server for updating my game. I think my game is giving me this error even when the update server is online. Also it says I may not be connected to the internet, but I can use the internet. beep |
