I've been playing a C3-standalone world and suddenly my egg layer has dissapeared. I've tried reinstalling the game several times, and the egglayer always dissapears as I cycle through the available breeds. The strange part is, without adding any third party agents, the Alien Norn eggs appear in the egg layer, while there is no file appears for it in the My Agents folder. I can overwrite the agent file for it but the My Agents folder never shows the file. Has anyone else had this problem, or has an idea of what to try to get the game working normally again? |

Welcome to creaturescaves!
You could try the Creatures 3 update |

Perhaps try adding the breed agent files to the C3 My Agents folder?
Another thing you may find useful is Marcus K's Norn Egg Layer Backup.

That's strange...
It's usually the the incubator that gets autokilled...
And my C3 aquarium uses the tiny .bmp file instead of the big .blk file...

I've found the answer after about 3 hours of searching the internet!
Perhaps i should've said I am using windows vista...
Sometimes Vista will move program files into a folder called 'Virtual Store', which is where it moved my agents and such. That explains why i could overwrite the file, and why it wasn't in the normal My Agents folder and still showed up even after reinstalling the game.
Thanks for your help anyway! |
