Is anyone here? Does anyone have this? I need this file to run the game. Seeing as the registration servers are down, I cannot register. I grew up on this series and desperately want to play it again. C2 doesn't work under Vista and I like DS/C3 more than C1. Please please please help. Every link is dead. The only place I've seen it is Treesprite's forum, and she hasn't approved my registration there. It's been a while. Heeellllpp! ;.; |

But I don't want to play Creatures 1 in DS! I just want to be able to have a docked world. I have creatures 3. I just need the login disabler since I can't register. |

Oh man, thanks, wow. I had no idea it had that feature... and it WORKED! Hooray! I have been blissfully playing all night. ...and it's nine am. :/ Oh, one more thing: Does anyone have Words of Bibble? I found links to it, and I know you're supposed to "save as", but the links were dead and the file just has 'apartment spam' in it.. it's not an actual C3 catalogue file. Halp? :< |

I'm glad I got to register. Does anyone have Words of Bibble? Also, I love this game. I haven't played it since.. well, a year or so after c3 came out. It's still just as amazing as it used to be! I'm so glad it's working on Vista.  |

I registered for treesprite's site and sent her an email and I have gotten no response. I was very polite. Also I have now run into a problem where my creatures won't breed AT ALL. Males and females are adult norns but females just won't get pregnant no matter what I do. I think an addon caused this? or is it lots of breeds? i have been trying to breed different norns and same norns together, like dragon/gargoyle and chichi/treehugger is this wrong? All the chem levels are fine, I used multi agent gold to make fertile and also cupid's lyre. i left this going on for hours.. and all my creatures dying because no breeding. max creatures is 100 and 102 breeding i tell them to kisspop, they do, no pregs or eggs.. *cries* edit: ps: insiminator does work to make pregnant, but why does it not work automatically? what am i doing wrong.. |

What did you say? Draconian + Gargoyle and ChiChi + Treehugger? No wonder that it works not that good. Gargoyles mate not much and Treehuggers are very shy, ChiChis are ok and with Draconians I am not sure. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

Oh sorry, i ment more like "Draconian/gargoyle" As well as "chichi/whatever" Actually even if I take two norns of the SAME breed, different gender obviously, and hand raise them to adult, they still won't breed! seriously does anyone know about a bug like this. i used to breed norns just fine, never recall having a problem with it (unless i was trying for something really weird) in the last game. but i should not have any trouble with a Plain Old Base Game Official Breed NornxNorn breeding! I have actually started four new save games, and have never had any natural breeding at all. only inseminator works. the world i didn't install inseminator on is dying childless too can an agent break breeding? :[ |

An agent can break the breeding system, if it affects the breeding system. Ashkitty, are you comfortable using the CAOS Command Line yet? I'm just thinking that if you reinject the Bootstrap COS file which governs breeding (Do you have C3 as well, or just DS?) that might have some effect. My TCR Norns |

I just wanted to pop in and say that TreeSprite won't be around her computer very often for the next few days (weeks?), so please don't take her silence personally. I'm sure she'll try to help you as soon as she sees the e-mail.  ETA: I'm already registered on her forums, so I just downloaded the file and will e-mail it to you momentarily. I just reinjected creaturebreeding.cos.. it did not work.. still no babies.i don't see a "bootstrap" file in c3 or ds i looked at all the files.. what ones am i supposed to inject.. do i do it with caos tool?edit: oh yeah when i try inject creaturebreeding cos, if that's right one, it gives me an error script 4 0 0 34 couldn't install (old script in use maybe?) i tried taking it out and putting it back in but no go.. edit again this is so depressing. i finally get it running, have great cc, built up my world just right.. and now they won't breed.. and i can't figure it out, and that's like, sixty percent of the fun... noooooo |

Bootstrap is a folder, not a file. The file you need to reinject is probably the DS creatureBreeding.cos as you stated. It's giving you an error when you try to inject the script because that script has already been injected and is still present in the game--taking the file itself out doesn't help because the code in the file is already copied into your world. You have to remove the code that's currently in use inside your world before it will allow you to inject it again. You can inject CAOS manually using the "cheat box" but using the CAOS tool might actually be your best bet here. I don't know how to remove a script using the "cheat box" but the CAOS tool has a nifty little "remove" function that does it for you, and will allow you to reinject the code too. Unless there's a better way to swap out scripting that I don't know about, but this is what I've always done. Just don't do this with any Creatures in your world--export them and/or use a new world.  |

Oh crap, I did it with creatures in my world... did I break them? And it turns out i didn't have DS creature breeding for some reason, i only had creaturesbreading.cos (not ds) so maybe that's the problem? how can i tell if it works? if i inject it with creatures in the room will they not work? i used chaos tool, and I HAD done tthe whole remove thing, but it still gave me error, guess cause it was creaturesbreeding and not ds creaturesbreeding file....? i hope this will work.. |

Did you really ject the right cosfiles? If you make a typing mistake (e.g. "trst.cos" instead of "test.cos" ) the CAOS line says "OK" but does nothing. Ignoring BIG/small writing counts as typing mistake, too!!! Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

I injected them through the Chaos Tool program, NOT the in game command line thing. I don't know the codes for the command line. So it is the file ds creaturebreeding.cos. I left the computer on overnight and STILL no babies.. |

okay, so i started a new world with two adults and hussled them into kisspopping for testing and they bred! hoorah! yay! now, i want to start installing addons but i have questions about them i don't want breeding to "break" again, so should i NOT install: -inseminator? -multi-agent gold? (the breeding chem button) - cupid's lyre? will any of these break it again.. :/ also which one is the best swimming agent, cause i have like three. improved swimmeragent? i have 290 agents total, also. after pruning some bad/ugly/badfile ones. how many do you have? is 290 a lot or not? |

I just told you to do it without creatures in the world, since living Creatures can and do call that specific script, I figured it was probably not a good idea to remove it with Creatures in the world. (The Grendel update that comes with the Banshees, for example, tells you specifically that it will crash your game if you inject it with Creatures in your world.) If your world doesn't seem broken, then probably it didn't do anything bad after all. I just figured it was better to be safe than sorry. Glad you have it sorted out, though. Inseminator and Cupid's lyre should both be fine. I use both of them, often at the same time, in pretty much every world I start, with no ill effects. I've never used "multi-agent gold" though, so if you're sure it's one of these three agents, it's probably that one. And 290 is... more than a lot. I doubt I even have 50 on my computer, even including the ones I've made. <.<; |

Hey I actually did get approved on the grove (awesome!) so now it's at 357... I think I have everything. o____o I might have mentioned before, but, my goal, is to get ALLLLLL the cc (except for files i find truly ugly or are broken somehow) I even got all the official breeds! I'm so proud of that, it was HARD, no one wants to share.. but I think it's time. It's time they are shared. THE STORE IS DEAD. The official site is barely hanging on. This won't be here forever! just think... one day someone discovers creatures, years from now, when all the geocities sites are down, all the other stuff is gone except for tiny bits and peices it needs to be saved so I do my duty, collect EVERYTHING, and put it up for download in one giant torrent! then someone can get it, and they will get everything, and it will be happy also so i have it for ever and ever ^_^ |

oh btw.. the "357 agents" are my whole docking station agent folder, so, it's whatever the game come with too, how many is that subtracted? i'm not sure how many it starts.. and toxic norns are soooo aweosme, even though i don't know how to care for them much yet EDIT!!! Multiagent-Gold is fine. I had Cupids Lyre, Inseminator and Cupids Lyre always in my DS worlds. The never crashed anything, my creatures always bred like hell. You should be careful with things like Markus Kurzbach's patch which raises the chance on twins. Those things affect the creatures breeding scripts. Better you don't trust them... To your collection: Don't put the agents and cosfiles coming with the games into it. They do not install the files they need (e.g. I tried to put the DS Hoverdoc into C3 and it ended up with copying about 15 files into the C3 folders...). EDIT: and reinstalling cosfiles over the ingame CAOS console is simple. You type ject, then in quotion marks the name of the cosfile and then a number: 1 for removing the cosfile, 4 to add it (e.g. creating way more piranhas) and 7 to "restart" it. You said the file is called DS creaturesbreeding.cos? Then you type:
