For my Forum Feral Run, I told the three people who had the best survivors/breeders to pick a Norn which I would then put up for download here at Creatures Caves.
The problem is, I don't know how. >_> How do I compress a Norn into a ZIP file? Do I need a picture of the Norn-in-question?
You do need it to be in a ZIP, yes. I don't know what kind of system you're running or if you have any special programs you use to do that, though. On Vista, all you have to do is right-click on the file and choose Send To -> Compressed (zipped) folder. I don't think that feature exists in systems like XP, though.
You do need a preview image, and on CreaturesCaves it seems that it needs to be in .jpg format. (even MS Paint can save things in .jpg format, although it doesn't do it quite as well as other programs). Keep at least a copy of the image separate from the zip because you need to upload it to the site separately.
Once you get that far, you just go to the Adoptions section on the site, and there's a link at the bottom that says "Post Adoption". You just fill out the little form, locate the zip and jpg just like you would if you were opening a file in a regular program, and hit submit. Then (I think) once somebody has had the chance to approve the Norn, it'll appear for everyone to download.
You can use TCR's Creature Picture Extractor to easily extract pictures from your norns. You're on MS, right? Just do a search in your Microsoft Help for zip file and that should tell you how to make them on your system.
I don't think that feature exists in systems like XP, though.
It does on my XP laptop. But I also have WinRAR installed, so maybe that has something to do with it.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Okay, I'll try out your advice. :3 It could take a while as my brother needs the C2 computer for school, but when I have the chance I'll try uploading the Norns.
