Age: 0 minutes
When I first hatched, all of the Norns around me stared upon me with great sadness. I felt stiff and uncomfortable, but I managed to let out a playful little coo. The hand had to take me to a machine and inject a sharp needle into my arm. It really hurt, but he said it was for my own good.

Age: 10 minutes
I am much older now, but I am still unable to move. The Hand came over to me and told me that I would not live a life as comfortable as the other Norns. He also told me that I would have to leave this world soon and go to somewhere distant where disabled Norns are given specialised care..

Age: 30 minutes
Today the Hand let me play with the other Norn children. Whilst he wasn't looking they called me a ?stupid Statue" and a ?fat limpet". They even pushed me over into the thick, dirty mud, and I had to lie on my back until the Hand returned.

Age: 50 minutes
Today the hand told me the truth about my mother - she had been a Dream Norn. The hand told me Dream Norns have different genes than most Norns, and that their children can suffer from Slider Syndrome. The hand also told me that my mother had died in a massacre; two Grendels were keeping a stash of food in an airlock, and were letting Norns eat as much as they would want. However, after about thirty Norns were in the Airlock, the Grendels shut the doors and pressed the eject button. All of the Norns flew out of the Airlock, and exploded into a cloud of dust and bones. I cried hard that night, thinking about what it would be like if my mother was still alive today.

Age: 1 hour, 20 minutes
Today the hand told me I will be leaving Ceratopia and moving to a world known as Scolopendra, a place for disabled Norns to live. I was relieved, but also sad. I would be leaving Ceratopia, the place I grew up in, forever.

Age: 1 hour 25 minutes
Today I arrived at Scolopendra. It is extremely comforting, and the Nurse Hand is extremely kind and helpful. I however, still have to be carried from place to place, and I unfortunately have caught an illness. The Nurse Hand says that I have a rare form of glycotoxin poisoning, and need special medication.

Age: 1 hour 35 minutes
Today I am feeling much better. The Nurse hand also gave me a special gift from my former home.
I will treasure it as long as I live.

Age: 3 hours
I have now settled in to my new home and have met a beautiful pink Treehugger Norn known as Rosie, who sadly is a fast-ager. She is very friendly, but I know I will never be able to have children with her.

Age: 3 hours 40 minutes
Today I awoke to hear a tragic tale. Rosie, being a fast-ager, had died this morning whilst picking some apples for me. I was heartbroken. I will never have a friend as charming and polite as her.

Age: 4 hours 20 minutes
Ever since the death of Rosie I have been very out of sorts. I refused my injections and almost fainted from starvation. I feel as though my end is nigh.

Age: 4 hours 45 minutes
Today I can barely speak. I had to get rushed to the Infirmary for a check-up, and it turns out that I have a severe fever. The Nurse Hand has told all of the Norns about me, and they are all greatly saddened. As I am too sick to continue my diary, the Nurse Hand has continued for me.

Age: Five hours
Cesil is still very sick, and is requiring constant injections to keep him alive. He is also constantly tired, and despite his illness seems to be coping well. We are constantly injecting him antibodies in an effort to combat the illness

Age: Five hours 20 minutes
Today we were saddened to discover that the fever Cesil caught has damaged many of his organs, but he appears to be responding to his treatment well.

Age: Five hours 30 minutes
Cesil's body appears to be deteriorating rapidly, and we don't think he has more than an hour to live. We are doing all we can to make him feel as comfortable as possible

Age: 6 hours
Today Cesil, aged 6 hours, sadly passed away due to organ failure. We are all greatly upset by this loss and are sending his body to Ceratopia for a funeral. He will live on in our hearts forever. Goodbye dear friend.

Thank you agentrok. :) Stories with unsatisfying endings often tend to be the saddest.

I loved this story.

You can put them in the C3 Medical bay and nurse them through their life, but it's care intensive. I do it all the time. It takes a lot, but at least they don't suffer as bad.

That was good. I always feel bad for sliders. I use the alternate genomes for Dream, Butterfly, and Flora Norns to prevent that mutation.

This was really good yet sad. It makes me think of three of my sliders. I learned even if inseminated they can;t have babies. :'(

Just your neighborhood Youkai dropping by =)
