She clutches Feirie to her chest and whispers, voice shaking, "I know I'm not your papa, but Shhh, he'll be back soon. He'll be back soon..." Herb   KittyTikara     7/29/2013 Peryite decides to track down Derix's kidnapper, and starts to smell out the trail. He reaches them in no time, and watches the kidnapper from a tree, waiting for the right time to strike. He crawls around for a bit then starts squeaking loudly to get the big yellow ettinchi's attention.   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix comes back limping covered in bruises and cuts, "Feirie where are you sweetie?" he asks sitting down by the trunk of a tree. Feirie wakes up and giggles Derix then limps over and picks her up Feirie snuggles up to him. Herb   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 Ameerega sees the newly hatched little one and the re-united family and can't help but grin as she picks up the cooing youngling. "Hello, little one! We can go find your parents once the fighting is done, ok?" [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix looks at Feirie "Hey Ameerega can you patch me up?" he asks cradling the baby. Herb   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 She nods, picking up some antiseptic and gauze. While she treats the various lacerations, she asks "What was that about, anyway? I saw a nornchi drag you off, and I was really worried. Did they try to take you out for going turn-coat?" [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix thinks for a moment "I think so, the nornchi said this is for betraying us!, he then kept beating me up, I also learned that Feirie is my daughter. That nice nornchi that left the egg was my wife" he says with a small smile. Herb   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 "It must have been tough, leaving her to fight on our side. At least you still have some family here, right? And you have all of us!" She smiles, looking at Feirie and her bandaged father. "She looks a lot like you." she says, a little softer. "I never really noticed that before." She looks down, sighing, "you're so lucky to be able to meet your kid. I mean, you're younger than me, and my husband's already... Oh, I can't say it. He then starts pointing to a note near his egg(or more like what's left of it...).   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 (ok the noise I made when I read that was inhuman, HavenHoney. Now I have the warm fuzzies and it's all your fault.) Ameerega hugs Derix, gently, before picking up the note and reading it. "Oh! I guess you already have a name. And now we know where your parents are, so that's good. Although I'm not sure how you read this... Oh well! Hello, Shadyk!" (whoops, ninja'd.) (I'm not sure how to fix this, plot-wise...) Herb   norndara   7/30/2013 Shadyk crawls over to a pile of children's books and looks through them. He makes an angry face and shakes his head. He then crawls outside and looks through the adult book pile and finds a book on black magic. His right eye spins a bit then goes back to normal before reading the book.   KittyTikara     7/30/2013 Peryite watches them boredly, picking Nornchi fur out of his mouth. He still can't believe Detrix saved -him- when he was supposed to save Detrix. He wonders how Ettinchi tastes while taking a nap in the sun. The Mobula Ray - My Creatures blog   norndara   7/30/2013 Shadyk decides to try one of the basic spells, called Black Lightning. "SHADI SHADI COOO!" he shouts and flicks his paw up. A tiny black lightning flys from his paw and after traveling a medium distance, explodes.   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix looks at Shadyk "Hey little wizard, I think you should looks at the kid books, I don't think your ready for these yet." he says picking up Shadyk (not much of a ninja it kind of fits :3) Herb   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 Ameerega whispers "Thank you" to Derix, since Shadyk was "playing" a bit too close to the nursery. She still can't figure out how the tadpole is reading this early... (ninja'd again!) [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   norndara   7/30/2013 Shadyk bites Derix's finger and leaps out of his arms. He then crawls away from him while carrying the book.   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix picks Shadyk back up and takes the book away, "No no Shadyk you to young." he says and puts him in a hover crib. Herb   norndara   7/30/2013 Shadyk decides to stay in the crib until everyone went to sleep, then he'll cast his new spell on the crib. After that he'll find the book and escape from the camp.   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 Ameerega is quite alarmed, and, being very nearly old, takes a lot of naps instead of sleeping all night, so she stays up to keep an eye on the kids and eggs. [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   norndara   7/30/2013 It's now night time. Shadyk babbles angrily because Ameerega is guarding him but then comes up with a plan. Cast some lightning bolts to create a distraction then bust out of the crib while Ameerega is distracted.   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013 Derix picks up Shadyk and puts him in a reenforced steel magic proof hover crib "Hey little rascal stay there and sleep." he says heading back to bed. Herb   NimhsLab   7/30/2013 Ameerega Gives him extra blankets, because steel is cold, but she makes sure they are wool, and thus not conductive to magic. [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   norndara   7/30/2013 Shadyk figures that they'll have to let him out eventually...   HavenHerbaven   7/30/2013  1 Derix takes away the magic book "I wonder how he learned to read he only hatched a few hours ago..." he says puzzled. Herb   norndara   7/31/2013 It's now noon. Shadyk is finishing up the food the adults gave him, when he notices some of the other babies staring at his food and a rope near the warriors. He tells them to get the rope and pull him out in exchange for some food.   NimhsLab   7/31/2013 Ameerega sees the babies staring at Shadyk's food and gives them some as well. (While wondering whose lapse of judgment it was to give only one baby food...) [chirping and clicking] Clicks for a winter god! >   HavenHerbaven   7/31/2013 Derix looks at Shadyk "Hey Ameerega, should I let him out or should I keep him in there." he says bundling up the rope and picking up the scattered books from when Shadyk was "looking" through them. Herb   norndara   7/31/2013 Shadyk finally goes to Plan D : Beg to be let out. He makes a big show out of wanting to be let out.
