Don't take this as a serious complaint, but I wish there were other ways to get creatchi items without uploading low gen creatures/posting things. The thing is, there just aren't very many things I feel I can comment on without "spamming" |

What other ways did you have in mind, Leporidae?

There are other things you can do. There's still plenty other breeds, COBS, and Agents that need to be posted. And you don't have to make 'em, just find a source for your target item, find a good image, post the source and image, and provide ample detail on the item. That way one doesn't have to search here and there for it, they can find it here on CC.com. (well, not technically here, but here will lead to its location)

Well, (assuming that I'm not having rotten luck), I've noticed that you can't get food and toys in threads that don't "update" the same way you can from threads that do.
Those sort of threads are spamish already, and would be a good way to get supplies needed to take care of creatchis as opposed to spamming bibbles, comments, or posts in normal threads.
While I want Gormez to live a long and healthy life, I don't want to flood the community in a sea of negligible posts either
EDIT: I might give a try at that! Thanks Karias! |

We're trying to encourage meaningful posts to gain creatchi items - we felt it would make it too easy to have non-updating threads count, whereas with comments, bibbles, and posts in normal threads, you have to put a bit of thought into things. Activity in bibbles, comments, or posts is not in itself spam.

I thought that too, Leporidae. I actually brought up the same concern while Creatchi was being conceived. However, now I think it's really easy to gain items by posting Bibbles, normal forum posts, downloads and comments; you don't have to spam, or be negligible, in order to do that. I've only been posting in the way I usually do and I already have 29 apples, 39 balls and 4 bottles of medicine to show for it.
Things will probably become a little easier when Rascii implements the gifting feature too, which I think he still plans to do. |

Another idea I have for getting Creatchi items is this: How about getting balls or apples from voting in, or creating, polls?
Giving input, and giving others the chance to give their input, is an important part of any community! The polls seem to be one of the more quiet aspects of the community right now, so giving people a little more incentive to go there might not hurt! |

What about a transfer or exchange system? There are probably people who got plenty of stuff. They could share their spare items with those who need em. I mean, imagine you had like 10 apples. When should you feed them all, especially when you keep getting more from regular posts?
Instead of just keeping them and letting them (metaphorically) rot away, you can quickly donate to someone who lacks items because he simply doesn't have much to say.

I think Rascii hopes to expand the variety of actions you can do to win Creatchi items soon - I hadn't thought that creating a poll and voting in a poll would both give items, but it makes sense, Leporidae. Rascii is also working on a gifting feature.

Does the Do Not Disturb sign mean that you can't socialize with anyone? Cause I'm wondering how me and OctoberFlash might go about setting our Grendels up.

It means you can't socialize with said "do not disturb" noted Creatchi. If yours is set to "do not disturb" you can always switch to available and try socializing, but if your target mate also says "do not disturb" then you should consider talking to the owner about switching the sign.

I've noticed a bug with getting objects from submitting downloads. I tried submitting an object of TwilightCat's, but I made a mistake in that I forgot to say on the form that the picture used was a .png and not a .jpg. I got a cheese from it anyway. So I went back, changed it, and resubmitted it so it's go through, but I got a second object from that as well! This could be exploited easily, for obvious reasons . . . |

Thank you for pointing this out, Leporidae! It could be exploited, but we'd hope that no one would intentionally do that to Laura, Rascii and Don! The alternative would be for the item to only appear in your inventory after you've had it approved by Laura, Rascii, or Don, and while that wouldn't take too long, it'd take away from some of the usefulness, perhaps?

Downloads reward you fairly heavily at first due to most people not posting much of them I'd assume. It eases off though, at least for me it seems to.
The main "bug" there is that I think it would be nice to be able to edit one's own download link in full, the image included. I also once accidentally marked a PNG as a JPEG but it still went through fine, so, I left it be.

Did it? When I tried to submit it, the message box didn't say anything about it going into the submission queue for approval, so I fixed it and sent it again! I hope it didn't flood it by mistake!
The problem doesn't necessarily need to be fixed by having to wait for the download to be accepted before you get your item! I imagine that you could code it so if, and only if, the conditions for the normal "you submission is waiting to be approved" message are all there, then you get the item! |

Though perhaps Laura saw that it was submitted with a png extension but a jpg label, and fixed it when she passed the submission? I'm sure Laura will understand that it was just an honest mistake.

Don't worry Leporidae, you're not the first to accidentally submit duplicate submissions! It happens a lot. Anyway, everything's been approved now; thank you for contributing and keep up the good work!
And nice spot with that item exploitation bug, hopefully Rascii can fix it soon. |

Can you get items from posting in the gallery? Or is that not a thing yet..? I don't think I received anything when I uploaded something, but it might of been before I got Biyluff. |

The glitch happened to me just now. Uploaded an agent and it said I put the wrong image type and it gave me medicine but then I changed the image type to the correct one and it uploaded and also gave me a teddy bear. Yay for glitches! But maybe I won't use it because of my laziness. |

Curious, how? Did you repost it or did it give you the opportunity to edit before the final post? When I'm told the image type is wrong, it posts it anyway. And being a Staff Member it automatically is published, but, I can't edit the image. At least, I don't recall being able to.
I'm assuming the difference is actually posting the wrong image type vs posting one type that's accepted and accidentally forgetting to label it as that image type and not the default.

You said you posted it, it said it was the wrong type, so you changed the image type. - Did you repost it with a different image type or did you just change the image type with the same original posting?

Gallery updates seem to be a great way to add both contributions and creatchi fun. Love it! Lulu got a sip f medicine because of it. Also, there are still breeds out there that are lacking on the list. I found and posted a couple earlier today (they're still, together with my piece of "art", awaiting approval), though without getting anything to stuff into my nornchi from it. Nevertheless, creatchi goals are a great incentive to fill out the list more.
By the way; Iljusjva and Dino are now the proud parents of an egg. |
