basically i think it might be their fail safe incase people used something to do the clicks for them but they didn't expect people to finish before the first day even ended and the coders had made it to finish in three days so now the program thinks something went wrong and won't let people sign up |

If erroneous data is introduced into a loop (without crashing it) through a glitch/bug or unexpected user action, the loop keeps running on that corrupted data forever; unless you programmed a data checker that is executed every time the loop starts and which either corrects the bad data or stops the loop at the first sign of trouble... ho no... Of course I entered the contest already. I might have the feeling that I won't win, but who knows, maybe I'll show that ominous feeling wrong and win anyway! Trying is the first step to everything in life, even if you think you'll fail, you still gotta try! I also learned something nice about the contest. I got curious about the system in place and tried to enter my secondary email address to see what would happen. I'm happy to say they didn't just slap any old code on that form! As long as she's over six years old, LilyNorn (as per the contest rules) I'm sure no-one will mind. On a side note (and this is me doing my curiosity killed the cat trick again) the contest rules state, "once the egg hatches, contestants will have one calendar day to enter their email addresses in the appropriate blank field." Which makes, "Too soon!" make more sense. |
