I have two dogs, a Min Pin and a Jack Russell mix. :3
Oh, and a bird. He's a Meyer's Parrot. We never call him by his name though, he's just known as a variety of ridiculous nicknames: 'The Bird', Mr. Tokiyama, Noodle, Nugget, Fluffers, Murder-Bird... XD
I'll see if I can get pics

I could have provided a link to the original Mr. Spider but the original Mr. Spider comes with a remote control and runs on batteries.

Awesome kezune Those things are seriously freaky to me and I'm glad I don't have them here. But I will admit, I caught the biggest female Tegenaria domestica I've ever seen and have been raising her in a little terrarium since. I enjoy watching her intelligence when she feeds on complicated prey.

Today is the day I found and adopted him. Actually, I threw two dead pill-bugs, a dead bee, a live pill bug and a live cricket in there for him to feed on. He hasn't settled in yet so the cricket's taken to eating the other dead bugs in the meantime. I have another cricket waiting for him when he eats the one that's in there. For some reason, these crickets really love our garage. :/

Awesome insects. We have a few praying mantises in our back yard right now but no really interesting moths. Lots of crickets, though.
What kind of gecko is Walter?

Kezune you're in CA. You just haven't found the cool moths yet, lol. Especially if you're in southern CA.
Love the lighter colored dog, reminds me of a few rare middle-eastern breeds.

Oh, I love insects, mantises seem very smart but 'stupid' at the same time, kind of like a cat.
Walter is leopard gecko. His spots never appeared though so I'm not sure what mix he is.
That dog was abandoned near our home, my aunt found him and kept him untill we could, so no idea what mix of breeds he is either : p

Walter might be a Leopard gecko and a eye lash crested gecko.

Ah, that's great. I'd love to have more reptiles some day. And bugs! Aw man my boyfriend's not going to like it when I fill our future home with terrariums...

If it were up to me, I'd have the entire back room dedicated to spider and fish tanks so you aren't alone. XD

I have a friend who has like 150 young mantises, at least one lizard and some rats and she's married @_@
I do believe having such hobbies could make living with someone a bit difficult.. and even worse if you plan to get kids :s

They are very different! Both are small pekingese dogs, but Pepper was raised as a Princess in her previous home. The lady had to give her up due to family changes and was really torn up about it. Lily, our white peke was a stray for who knows how long. She was living by a river when they caught her. She hunts and kills rabbits in our backyard. She was probably going to eat it but i managed to take it away. It was gross and Pepper was horrified!

Poor Lily! I'm glad she's got a good home with you now. Are those Pepper's favourite toys, the blue thing and the green thing?

Any small stuffed animal is fair game for Pepper. They all belong to her. Funny thing is that if it has any kind of squeaker in it, it scares her and she wont play with it. Lily is still trying to figure out how to play with toys. She mostly guts them and leaves the stuffing all over the floor.

My great-grandma's dog never quite got the hang of toys - but she did like when I came to visit and would pet her and 'wrestle' with her on the ground.

That's great, I would always want to adopt animals rather than buy from a breeder that may or may not have their animals in decent conditions..
Of course for reptiles that's a whole other case, I don't think many are given up for adoption but just released into the wild : (

From my experience, rescue cats, dogs, horses are better than getting from a breeder considering the high numbers of animals in need of it.
Getting reptiles, birds, fowl, and rodents from private breeders is better than from stores and something I personally promote though, since the breeder in most cases does and should hopefully know what they're doing, they give the animals a decent hands-on personal life with people, and they're not such a crazy operation like pet stores, hatcheries, and warehouse feeder breeders. Especially animals like parrots, private breeders seem to be increasingly rare and yet the animals really do need a more hands-on "childhood" instead of bred en-mass for pet-stores to sell or resell to inexperienced owners who likely won't keep the animal. If someone's looking specifically and carefully for an uncommon private breeder for that particular species or variety, chances are, they're ready for it.
Mini-lecture. Loving the pet pics. More pics!

I never did like pet stores and Puppy Mills and I suspect my younger dog might be the product of a puppy mill. I ended up finding him abandoned on the street as a baby (6 weeks old!) so I can't know for sure. Mixes and strays even tend to have healthier genetics because they have a much bigger gene pool to 'choose' from and many will live longer than potentially in-bred or poorly bred animals. :/ I'm just grumpy about how badly pets are handled, raised and bred in most places.
