Hello everybody. I was a huge Creatures fan back in the 1990s and was heavily into experimenting and trying out different breeds. I remember how exciting it was when the Borg Norns were unleashed, and developing a rudimentary knowledge of hexadecimal to tweak genomes. I always would dabble with my own game but never could get a wolfing run to last more than a couple of generations for some reason. Anyway, I am interested in talking about all the old school stuff (including the ethics of Norn Torture) as well as keeping an eye on the upcoming Creatures Online and Grandroids. |

Hi everyone, Here's another old-school creatures gamer reporting in  I've played both Creatures 3 and DS extensively during my childhood. More than a decade later, these fond memories and a dash of nostalgia rekindled my interest in the games so here I am playing again. I am both interested in breeding and preservation aspect of the game (I've just managed to stabilise my Gnarler population^^). Anyway, I'm looking forward to interesting discussions! |

Hello ;w; Well, not too long ago, I remembered about the Creatures games and decided to look it up. I was honestly shocked to learn that the community is still alive and there's actually a new game in the making. Yeah, I've played Creatures before... it was quite a long time ago when I found out about it, really. A few years back I rediscovered it -again- buuuut the laptop I had it on broke and I never really considered at least re-downloading Docking Station. But from what I've heard, the servers are down, and due to compatibility issues I might not even be able to run Docking Station anyways. And I don't have money for the GoG versions. But I'll try. And since I've been trying to do graphics maybe I'll be of some use. ;w; |

Hi to Dr White, Wooly, Kitsune and Riakodoadm! I think someone got DS running on Windows 8; it certainly runs on 7. The free version of DS is downloadable from AmberCreatures (both Windows and Linux) and there's a patch you can install to allow you to play offline - the unimaginatively titled DS Offline Option patch. |

Hello I got Creatures Exodus from GOG.com and I fell in love with it. I did not knew the game before because computers were so expensive in our country before. Anyway, enough of the story. I just really like breeding and splicing creatures. This game has like fulfilled my lost dream of being a geneticist (Because I chose studying computer science). Hi again! I've only played c3/ds, and i'm interested in the ecology, biology and intelligence aspects of it! Hi, I'm The_L1985! My love affair with Norn-tending started in 2000 or thereabouts, when my brother and I found a copy of C2 for only $10US. He got bored with the game fairly quickly, but I got to love Albia and the Norns quite a bit. When I discovered you could download new breeds and other handy things online, things got even better! College and a career put a damper on my Creatures-playing for quite a few years, until last week I found Creatures: The Albian Years for a ridiculously good price on GOG. I'm tempted to get the next one, too, but I don't know how much DS suffers from the lack of its former online connectivity. |
