Involving numerous plane trips, a memorable instance of getting sunburn on her lips, said cousin getting heatstroke, and numerous instances of unauthorized foot touching, plus getting repeatedly woken from rem sleep, resulting in vivid hallucinations. Being cooped up in a hot hot minivan for two whole days, with two brothers and two sisters. I'm in the back between my space hogging sister and little brother's enormous booster seat, both of whom had no sense of personal space, being poked and prodded awake by jammy fingers every time I dozed off. Every hour my fussy, crying little sister would violently throw up all over herself and her car seat, so mum and dad had to pull over and get her new clothes while we helped clean it up. The smell never came out of the fabric car seat, and we had to deal with the stench of it. For two days. In a stiflingly hot vehicle. We got lost twice, traveled through a skunk territory, and rarely stopped for a bathroom break. All the while, my older sister was crying because she didn't get the toy she wanted in her happy meal, my little sister was crying/vomiting, and my older brother who enjoys crushing me whenever there's a corner moved to the backseat because older sister complained I was taking up too much space. Oh yeah, and we never stopped to sleep either. Dad just kept going. Nothing like being jerked out of sleep every time Mum panics and makes Dad swerve because she's hallucinating fluffy purple bunnies hopping across the road. Not kidding. All to go to some wedding of some second cousin I'd never even heard of. The whole trip was a trauma conga line of vomit, crying, and torture at the hands of my brothers.
