I used to write, but kind of hit a writer's block that never really ended. Nowadays when I'm feeling crafty, I make beaded jewelry. |

Well. Here's some more dragony goodness.

I'm still stabbing away at this thing to make it nice and firm but the process has been very slow. I didn't wrap the material around the armature tight enough so I haven't had time to finish some parts or even start on others. It's still shaping up nicely, though and still poses pretty well.
Its new eyes and colors should be arriving in the mail soon. I'm excited.

Oh Kezune, that's one pretty dragon and I think it's so cool that it's pose-able too! It's obviously worth the long and tedious work. I can't wait to see what it looks like complete with it's new eyes and colours. |

I love painting and drawing if you can call that "crafting"
I am planning to make some flower crowns before summer starts, but I am afraid I am lacking of skills..
I like to draw flowers on the corners of the pages of my notebooks. I used to be pretty good at drawing Manga personages and other "cartoonish" people, but I haven't drawn them recently.
If I practice a bit, I can also draw more natural persons, but it will takr some time to get used to the way to draw it, because I am so attached to my cartoonish style :S
In art classes, I have made my first painting in 10 years, in my spare time, I never really find any time to paint but I like to do so.
My teacher told me he loved my work and I got an A+ for my painting ![[nblush] [nblush]](/images/smilies/emot_blush.gif)
Whenever I can take my painting home, I will post a picture of it over here!

I'm not the biggest fan of this project but I've made some progress. I just can't be bothered to work on this thing most days for some reason.
Needle felt dragon.
I did finally decide not to give myself a choice on the matter today. Assuming I don't stab my fingers too badly I'm hoping to have the neck finished tonight.

Hi again! So, I'm still working on this nightmare-project dragon and I'm nearly done applying the black. I got to thinking, though.
Does anyone here work with clay? If so, what kind of clay would you recommend for making small details like horns and claws? I've heard sculpey makes good clay for it but I don't know which type. I'd also like to paint details on it but I don't know what type of paint to use for that.
Lastly, I'm interested in making clay busts but don't know what would be suitable for larger projects like that. Any help would be appreciated!

Just two things. I'll save the dragon thing's pictures for when it's finally done. It's getting there, slowly. It probably helps that I finally bought a pen tool to make needle felting less difficult to do. Anyway.

This is a baby shower gift set I'm making for one of my best friends. He found out a little while ago that he's having a son so I made some Link-themed stuff for him. I'm still working on the blanket but I've finished the top part of the Triforce for the blanket.

Next, I did some research and bought some Super Sculpey. I already had some acrylic paint so I was able to paint with that. Anyway, these are little marble-sized derpy busts of my two dogs and I think they turned out pretty good for my first sculpting attempt in nearly 20 years.

Kezune, did I ever tell you that you're one talented lady? That Zelda gift set is super cute and for your first sculpting attempt in nearly 20 years, I don't think there's anything derpy about those busts of your dogs.
It makes me want to try being more creative. I've started to make loom bands lately... We'll see how that goes. |

As I mentioned yesterday, here are two of the loom band bracelets I've made:

I used a crochet hook, a loom, (but you can also use two fingers, two pencils, etc) an s-clip, and the French plaid pattern to make them. My mum's already stolen the pink/blue/white one off me. I can link to the tutorial, if anyone's interested in making their own! Some suggestions for other colours combinations would be cool too. |

I don't have any suggestions for colors, but colour lovers has a huge collection of user-submitted palettes to give you ideas. It's also search-able.
EDIT: Almost forgot! Thank you for the compliment.

No problem and thanks for the link, Kezune! That shall be very useful in future. I couldn't decide on a new colour combination in the meantime, so I opted for, well, all of them...

Why not, eh? It's zany. |

I made this while I was sick and finished it last night. The photo doesn't do the color justice. It's got a lovely shimmery effect. Don't mind the lousy blocking job, by the way. It's my first time using my new blocking board and I can alway try again next time it's washed.
Now that the weather is starting to cool, I can get back to work on yarn and wool projects without sweating all over everything. XD

Thank you! I did have a few ladders (bamboo dpns) and did my best to correct them but as it's for me, I'm not stressing out too much about them.
